Timeform View

HOW'S ELLIE made a much better fist of it on her second go over hurdles here 3 weeks ago and can do better still as she gains experience. She looks the way to go in a thin maiden hurdle. Texas Red and Crystal Mariner are a couple of the other likely players.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

How's Ellie traded at a low of 5.00 and Betfair SP of 28.00 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Crystal Mariner (IRE)
Fairly useful Flat winner (stays 1½m) in Britain. New yard fairly quiet but he certainly has the raw ability to be a force over hurdles in this company if ready to go.
Be My Fortune (IRE)
Made frame both completed starts in points but proved too free in Downpatrick bumper starting out for Gordon Elliott last month.
Boo Radley (IRE)
From a good jumping family but has looked a bit of a handful in 2 bumpers and Sligo maiden hurdle (first-time hood after 9 months off, reportedly showed signs of delayed recovery post race). Tongue tie goes on now.
Discrete (IRE)
Maiden pointer and well beaten in Kilbeggan bumper 8 weeks ago. Hard to fancy on hurdling debut.
Rockstar Rebel (IRE)
€4,500 3-y-o, Hillstar gelding. Dam (h105), bumper/2¼m hurdle winner, half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (2½m winner) Mary's Manna.
Salty Racer (IRE)
Getaway brother to dual bumper winner Getaway Vic, and half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Lightkeeper (19f-21f winner, by Walk In The Park). Dam (c133/h120), 17f-2½m hurdle/chase winner (stayed 4m). Made frame sole start in points (Apr 26).
Texas Red (FR)
Improved on his hurdling debut form when fourth of 15 in 19f novice at Kilbeggan 17 days ago, though looked quirky (cocked jaw at same obstacle on both circuits). Cheekpieces go on now and could figure if proving more straightforward.
Hurling Academy (IRE)
25/1, finished with running left in Kilbeggan maiden hurdle a fortnight ago. Looks one for the longer term.
Trev The Rev (IRE)
Little promise when pulled up in maiden hurdles 4 months apart.
Certosa (IRE)
Showed much more on her first go over hurdles for this yard at Limerick (2½m) 10 weeks ago, making a big move on the home turn before fading. Could have a bigger performance in her on that showing.
How's Ellie (IRE)
Left her hurdling debut form behind when second in similar event here 3 weeks ago, leading until before last. Still has a fair bit to learn but this could be a good opening.
Leva Deva (IRE)
Pulled up in maiden hurdle at Sligo in May on debut and tailed off in bumper at the same venue the following month. Looks to be up against it.
Lexenna (IRE)
Well held in mares maiden bumpers.
Sea Limit (IRE)
Getaway mare who has some fairly useful winners in her pedigree but was held in sixth on her point debut in the spring.
Tiffany Case (IRE)
Hinted at ability behind How's Ellie on hurdling debut here 3 weeks ago, not knocked about (found to be blowing hard post-race). From the family of Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River and should do better in time.
Kalinka De Loire (FR)
Zanzibari half-sister to 2 winners, including fairly useful 2¾m hurdle winner Hipop de Loire (by American Post). Failed to complete all 3 starts in points, pulled up latest (May 3). Tongue tied for Rules debut. RESERVE.
