The betting will offer plenty of clues but TIKKA has plenty going for her on paper, and she could be the answer in a tricky race to assess. Nouva Stella, Rhythm of My Heart, Isabella of Aragon, Hidden Beyond and Greta Tintin are other likely types.

Timeform Comments

Alidoolally
Foaled March 13. Mohaather filly. Dam (useful) 13.3f winner. One of 2 in the race for yard saddling first juvenile debutants of the season. Enough in her pedigree to warrant a market check.
April's Luck (IRE)
Foaled April 3. €42,000 yearling, Gleneagles filly. Dam maiden half-sister to smart 5f-6.5f winner Mgheera out of useful winner up to 5f (including at 2 yrs) Blue Aegean. Majority of stable's 2-y-os have needed the experience this season.
Blue Vixen
Foaled March 27. 48,000 gns yearling, 32,000 gns 2-y-o, Blue Point filly. Dam unraced. More likely to be one for the longer term.
Greta Tintin
Foaled April 9. Kameko filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Queen Leila. Dam, 1¾m winner who stayed 2m, half-sister to useful 1¼m-1½m winner (stays 1¾m) Crystal Flyer. Excellent yard without a winning newcomer in June/July. This one still needs close monitoring for support, though.
Hidden Beyond (AUS)
Foaled February 9. Lucky Vega filly. Dam, French 11f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1½m Soldier Rising out of useful winner up to 1¾m (2-y-o 9f winner) Sahrawi. Market usually offers plenty of clues if yard fancy one on debut.
Nouva Stella
26,000 gns foal, 38,000 gns yearling. Sergei Prokofiev filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 6f winner Preanka. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m King Ottokar out of useful 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Treasure. Entered in some valuable sales races later in the season. Interesting but stall 12 tricky.
Singing Blues (IRE)
Foaled February 8. €50,000 foal, 32,000 gns yearling, Space Blues filly. Half-sister to 7f (including at 2 yrs) winner Fast Society. Dam unraced half-sister to winner up to 1¼m Kings Quay and 1¼m winner Milne Graden (both useful). Some pedigree appeal but yard 0-7 with 2-y-o debutants this season.
Tikka
Foaled March 14. 27,000 gns foal, €30,000 yearling, Sealiway filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful French winner up to 1m Trinquette (2-y-o 7f winner) and 7f-1m winner Candonomore. Dam, useful French 2-y-o 7f winner, half-sister to 2-y-o 5f/5.5f winner Lady Galore. Very interesting type.
Blanquita
Foaled February 9. Lope Y Fernandez filly. Half-sister to 1¼m winner Huggable. Well drawn but might not be sharp enough to capitalise.
Isabella Of Aragon (IRE)
Foaled April 29. 12,000 gns yearling, Phoenix of Spain filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 2-y-o 5f winner Pursuing The Dream and winner up to 8.4f Izlaz, both useful. Dam lightly raced. One of the more appealing pedigrees and stable can ready one first time up.
Lady Gloriana
Foaled May 7. 2,000 gns yearling, Mohaather filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 1m-1¼m winner Dudley's Boy and 2m winner Gyenyame. Dam 2-y-o 1m winner who stayed 10.5f. Cheap purchase and only the second 2-y-o runner from the yard.
Rhythm Of My Heart
Foaled March 1. 14,000 gns yearling, Lope Y Fernandez filly. Half-sister to 1½m-1¾m winner St Pancras. Dam (smart at best), 1¼m-1¾m winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1½m (stayed 14.5f) Windshear. Dam was 2-2 on the all-weather. Has to be high on the shortlist.
