Timeform View

William Haggas usually strikes with runners in maidens here, so it'll probably pay to side with NEXT OF KIN following her promising debut. Desert Smoke is the main danger if back to the form she showed at Newmarket first time up. A case can also be made for Irish raider Fly Smartly, especially if supported.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The pace doesn’t look like being overly strong here and Next Of Kin should still be served best by being ridden prominently: Despite a suspicion the pace will be sound, those held up such as Myesme usually is are still likely to have their work cut out.

Timeform Comments

Ashina (IRE)
Foaled March 9. €60,000 foal, 200,000 gns yearling, Persian Force filly. Looked in need of the experience when well held on debut at Doncaster in early-June. May have benefitted from a 9-week break and worth a second look given her price tag.
Dadawada (IRE)
18,000 gns breeze-up purchase who only hinted at ability on debut at Musselburgh in late-June. Has since left Gemma Tutty and needs a big step forward to be involved on stable debut.
Desert Smoke
80,000 Havana Grey filly. Only beaten 1¾ lengths behind some above-average types in a messy Newmarket maiden on debut. Disappointing when well backed at York subsequently, however, she's probably worth another chance with sights lowered.
Fly Smartly (IRE)
€135,000 Mehmas filly showed ability over 5f on debut at Naas. Ran to a similar level up in trip when beaten under 2½ lengths at Curragh subsequently (7f). Needs a close look in the betting (unfancied both starts to date) for Irish yard saddling their first runner at Ayr.
Lady Titania
Showcasing filly out of 6f juvenile winner (successful second time out). Sent off at 9/1 and offered little in a valuable York novice on debut. Excellent yard quick to reach for first-time tongue strap.
La Flor Granada
Foaled May 6. 27,000 gns foal, 40,000 gns yearling, Perfect Power filly. Half-sister to useful 11.3f-12.4f winner Baba Boom and 6.5f winner New York Dreams. Dam unraced half-sister to top-class winner up to 6f Deacon Blues and high-class 6f winner The Tin Man. At least warrants a market check.
Myesme
Foaled April 10. Havana Grey filly. Half-sister to 6f winner Thelma's Angel. Dam, 5f/5.4f winner, half-sister to useful 5.5f-7f winner Last Empire. Bred to be speedy and yard/jockey combination successful with a newcomer recently.
Next Of Kin
Kingman filly produced a promising first effort when 2 lengths third of 11 on debut at Newbury, doing all her best work late. Sure to improve, and looks very interesting for yard with an excellent record in maiden/novice company here.
Oh So Slow Sloth (IRE)
75,000 gns Dark Angel filly. Showed a bit before paying the price for her overexuberance on debut at Hamilton in May. May still need the experience, even with the addition of a first-time hood.
