Preference is for TALISMANS TIME, who has run well at York on his last 2 starts and could still have more to offer over this trip. He is taken to see off the challenge of Asia Force, with Karl Burke's 3-y-o taking on his elders in a handicap for the first time, while Shipshape can also make his presence felt.

Talismans Time
Successful at Hamilton on 2 of 3 starts last year and good third behind a couple of 3-y-os at York (1¾m) on second run back this season. Creditable fifth of 13 again at York (16.3f) 18 days ago and he makes plenty of appeal back down in trip.
Savrola (IRE)
Enjoyed a fine season in 2025 with his 2 victories including the Northumberland Vase. However, is yet to fire in 3 starts this year, down the field in the latest renewal of the Newcastle race last time.
Shipshape (IRE)
Has won 3 times for current yard this season, his latest success at Chester (12.3f) in June. Found only one too good in his hat-trick bid at the same course (2m) later the same month and he's respected in his current form.
Dance Time
Yet to win on turf, but had excuses in 2 starts at Chester in May before returning to form under a more positive ride when third of 11 over this C&D in June. Can give her running again.
Ludo's Landing (IRE)
Off the mark for the year at Newcastle (12.5f) in March but his form has been mixed since, having the run of the race but again below best when last of 4 at Thirsk (1½m) 10 days ago. Blinkers back on.
Gibside
Turned in best effort of the season when third of 5 at Catterick in June. Hasn't been in the same form in 2 subsequent outings, though he's down to a handy mark as a result.
Asia Force (IRE)
Runner-up all 3 starts in novices and, having second run in handicaps, got back on the up when 2½ lengths fourth of 5 at Thirsk (1½m) 6 weeks ago, despite needing a stronger gallop. Could be thereabouts upped further in trip (has been gelded).
Ouro Preto (FR)
3-time winner in France but yet to make much impact for current stable this season, albeit not ideally placed/meeting trouble when down the field at Hamilton (13f) 10 days ago. Others still more persuasive.
