OURAGAN had a possible excuse at Wolverhampton and might prove the answer if she can recapture the form she showed when second at Newbury prior to that. This is easier than the races Desert Sands has tackled previously and she's feared most.

Modest form but she was much better than the bare result (badly hampered final 100 yds) when sixth of 7 in novice at Bath 11 days ago, her first run after a breathing operation.
Desert Sands (IRE)
Gleneagles filly who showed fair form with a mid-field finish when pitched into the Albany at Royal Ascot in June. Weakened and well held in a Newmarket July meeting maiden since but this represents a drop in grade.
Birkacre Brow
Didn't achieve much when fourth of 7 on debut at Redcar (5f) in May and well held at Yarmouth since. Billy Loughnane rides but others hold more obvious claims.
Ouragan (IRE)
Fair form when second over 6f at Newbury (firm) last month. Paid for pressing the pace from the outside stall when well beaten at Wolverhampton since. Given another chance.
Bellatina
Runner-up 3 times but needs to shrug off a poor run at Bath last time.
