SPANISH RISING matched his fair form on the Flat at the first attempt over hurdles when making the frame at Ballinrobe last month and, with this slightly shorter trip promising to suit, he is taken to open his account. Rosarian is feared most after her much-improved second at Kilbeggan on return, ahead of Johnny Rambo.

Timeform Comments

Johnny Rambo (IRE)
Runner-up in a Clonmel maiden hurdle in June on debut, before going one better in bumper at Kilbeggan 10 days later. Fell at the sixth back hurdling at Cork early this month, but he remains with potential in this sphere.
Devine Genius (FR)
Offered little in 3 starts on the level for current yard this summer and fared no better sent hurdling when pulled up in maiden at Cork (2¼m) 10 days ago. Tongue strap on for first time in this code.
Folk Warrior (IRE)
Steady progress in a trio of juvenile maiden hurdles and, after a spell on the Flat, matched previous form in this sphere when eighth of 13 in handicap at Kilbeggan 5 days ago. Remains open to improvement, though it's a long time since his yard's last success.
Green Grass (IRE)
Made some appeal on pedigree, but was always behind on debut when thirteenth of 15 in maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f) 20 days ago. Looks one for the longer term.
I'm All In (IRE)
Booked for second when unseating rider at the last in academy hurdle at Cork in November on debut. Has again been held back by his jumping since, making mistakes when well held in maiden at Cork on return last month.
John Gun (FR)
Bathyrhon gelding. Dam 1m winner in France. Has a fair standard to aim at on debut.
Pinkarizon (IRE)
Fair maiden at best on the Flat for Warren Greatrex. However, he's been pulled up 3 of 4 outings in maiden hurdles for current yard this year, including over 2¼m at Cork 10 days ago.
Spanish Rising (IRE)
Free-going sort who showed fair form in 2 outings on the Flat last summer for B. F. Brookhouse. Well held in trio of starts on the level for current yard this year, but switched to hurdling he got back on track when fourth of 15 in maiden at Ballinrobe (17f) 23 days ago. Major player.
Faerie Tales (IRE)
Little impact in a trio of maidens on the Flat, absent 21 months prior to her return in June. Failed to show any more sent handicapping when last of 12 at Limerick (12.3f) on latest outing. Now switches to hurdling.
Noble Rocco (IRE)
Tailed off only start in bumpers but went with a little more encouragement when ninth of 11 in maiden at Sligo on hurdles bow last month, making some headway before unable to sustain effort. Has something to find here, though.
Really Truly (IRE)
Order of St George filly. Sister to 2 winners, including fair 2m hurdle winner Sky Grove, and half-sister to bumper winner Lionnar. Wears hood for debut, but she's one to note for much-respected connections.
Rosarian (IRE)
After 7 months off, attracted support and left her debut form well behind when second of 15 in maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f) 20 days ago, beaten only by one who had the run of the race. Respected with that recent outing behind her.
