Timeform View

SIMPLE THINGS may well find this a sharp enough test but she's the one to beat on these terms and shades preference over Willie Mullins' steadily improving World As One. Chasing Blues has also shown more than enough to play a significant role in proceedings.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Chasing Blues traded at a low of 1.01 and Betfair SP of 3.91 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Chasing Blues (IRE)
Showed first form after 14 months off when fourth over further at Wexford in July and improved further when second in maiden back at that venue (17f) 3 weeks ago, headed close home. Hasn't looked entirely straightforward to date but certainly capable of playing a part again.
Fortis Et Liber
Runner up once from 5 starts in points and he achieved little starting out under Rules when finishing a distant second in a Downpatrick maiden hurdle (2¼m) 4 weeks ago. Longer trips/handicaps promise to be more his bag in due course.
Jack Spriggins (IRE)
Make Believe gelding who showed fair form at up to 1¼m on the Flat for Johnny Murtagh in 2024. However, off 2 years ahead of this stable/hurdles debut and likely best watched.
Jury Foreman (IRE)
Made the frame in 2 maidens last autumn but not kicked on subsequently in handicaps, equipped with blinkers when ninth of 13 at Wexford (3m) 3 weeks ago. Steps back down markedly in trip returned to maiden company but others make greater appeal.
Nothintodowithme (IRE)
Mizzou gelding who was tongue tied for debut and offered little when pulled up in a Ballinrobe maiden (2m) in May.
O'callaghan Can (IRE)
Showed more than he had in bumpers when third of 12 in a Downpatrick maiden 2 starts back. Possibly found stamina stretched when fourth over extended 3m at Kilbeggan since and he now steps back down markedly in trip.
Seven Towers (IRE)
Fair form when placed on 3 of 4 starts in bumpers and ran to a similar level when third of 15 in a C&D maiden hurdle in May. Possibly amiss given how weakly he finished at Wexford 6 weeks ago and it's certainly too soon to be writing him off.
World As One (GER)
Waldgeist gelding who made the frame in a pair of bumpers and improved on hurdles debut form with a tongue strap added when third in a Ballinrobe maiden (17.4f) 24 days ago. Remains with potential for top stable and he's one to consider.
Champ Young (IRE)
Bettered hurdles form following 8 months off when seventh of 15 in a Kilbeggan maiden (19f) 3 weeks ago, never better than mid-division. Appeals as the type to do better in handicaps in due course.
Hashtag Doyen (IRE)
Doyen mare who offered little when sixth of 9 in a mares maiden hurdle at Thurles on debut in November 2024. Limited impact in points subsequently and passed over starting out for new stable.
Isthatrightkatie (IRE)
Little impact in 2 bumpers/sole start on Flat last year. Makes hurdles debut in a refitted hood.
The Orphan Girl (IRE)
Off mark in points at fifth attempt (March 2026) but at long odds and went with little encouragement in a mares maiden on hurdles debt at Cork 11 days ago.
Simple Things (IRE)
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who finished runner-up in mares handicap hurdles at Bellewstown/Wexford in the spring. Far from discredited in 2 subsequent outings and she's the one to beat on these terms for all this looks a sharp enough test for her.
