Timeform View

Successful over C&D on her penultimate start, MENAS MIRACLE needs to shrug off a lesser effort at Wexford in June, yet her record at this venue is a particularly solid one and she's fancied to bounce back following a short break. My Cullen, Dunany Point, Thewaybackhome and Not So Serious head up an extensive list of credible dangers.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Tropical Image traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Corkbeg traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Menas Miracle (IRE)
Hurdles winner who was better for her return when opening her chase account over C&D in May. Not in same form when pulled up at Wexford (23f) since but her record at this venue is a solid one and bounce back rates distinctly possible.
Mercurial Sea (IRE)
Maiden with an inconsistent profile but she managed to match this season's previous best when second at Downpatrick (2¼m, good, 7/1) 31 days ago. Has first crack at chasing now but she needs to prove her stamina for this trip.
Pirate Island (IRE)
Winning pointer who hasn't made much of an impact under Rules this year, again some way below his best starting out for this yard when ninth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Cork (17f) 11 days ago. Passed over now handicapping in this sphere.
My Cullen (IRE)
Still a maiden but returned to form from out of the blue when second at Kilbeggan 3 weeks ago, not going down without a fight once headed on the run-in having made most. Patchy profile overall but a repeat would give him definite claims.
Our Zebo (IRE)
Three-time hurdle scorer last year who also ran well to finished placed twice over fences in 2025. Absent since a lesser effort over hurdles at Downpatrick in November but pick of his exploits give him claims if ready to roll following 10 months off.
Thewaybackhome (IRE)
In good form since sent handicapping over hurdles, cheekpieces on for 1st time when second of 15 at Kilbeggan (25f, good) 35 days ago. One to consider starting out over fences with few miles on the clock.
Dunany Point (IRE)
It's now 12 runs since last win in 2025 but it was just his second outing over fences when third of 13 in handicap at Wexford (15f, good to firm) 23 days ago. Significantly up in trip with cheekpieces back on. Enters calculations.
Not So Serious (IRE)
50/1 and cheekpieces on when getting off the mark in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe 24 days ago. Another warranting a second look now attentions switch to larger obstacles for the first time.
Corkbeg (IRE)
On a long losing run but down to a good mark and he stepped up on reappearance run when posting a good fourth over hurdles at Kilbeggan (2m) 6 days ago. Return to this longer trip will pose no fears back over fences but others more appealing for win purposes.
Bob The Builder (IRE)
Point winner who is yet to taste success under Rules but got back on track following a further stable switch when third over hurdles at Downpatrick (2¾m, good to soft) 5 days ago. Wouldn't be certain to back that up however returned to chasing. Cheekpieces back on.
Amburana (IRE)
Maiden over hurdles who produced a somewhat laboured effort starting out over fences when fourth of 15 in handicap at Wexford (25f) 23 days ago. Drops back in trip now and she appeals as a candidate to benefit from the application of some headgear.
Fr Gilligansvoyge
Veteran has found some uncharacteristic consistency of late, ending lengthy losing run at Downpatrick (3m) in June and placed on both starts at Wexford since. Versatile as regards trip and he looks to hold solid each-way claims again in present groove.
Set The Tone (IRE)
Has looked rejuvenated since undergoing a breathing operation. Confirming the promise of her previous outing when successful over hurdles at Wexford (3m) in July. Not in same form back over same C&D last week but she remains low mileage over fences.
Robin Elite (IRE)
Winning pointer but has not shown anything under Rules for a long time.
Tropical Image (IRE)
Matched the pick of her hurdles form at the second time of asking over fences when runner-up in maiden at Listowel (19f, good to soft) in June. However, not in same form returned to a handicap when fifth at Killarney (23f) 4 weeks ago. Cheekpieces quickly go back on. RESERVE.
U Asking Me (IRE)
Clonmel hurdle winner who finished placed on 2 of his 3 starts over fences last summer but returned from a lengthy layoff out of sorts, well beaten over both hurdles/fences in recent months. RESERVE.
Shantou Show (IRE)
Veteran who is winless since 2023 but produced one of his more encouraging recent efforts when third of 8 in handicap chase at Cartmel (25f) in June. However, merely underlined his inconsistency when pulled up at Wexford 23 days ago. RESERVE.
