Timeform View

SIR LES PATTERSON is a force to be reckoned with on the all-weather and is taken to bounce back returned to the venue of his last 2 successes. Valiant Force also needs to revive, but with 5 course wins to his name and having been dropped 4 lb, he must be respected, while I Bid You Ajou has been knocking on the door for some time and also merits consideration.

Timeform Comments

Sir Les Patterson
Smart all-weather performer who hasn't made much of an impact on turf this summer. Returns to the scene that brought him 2 victories over the winter and very much one to consider with useful 5 lb claimer on board.
Valiant Force (USA)
Reserves his best for this course these days but has shown little since winning over 5f here in February, including when friendless in the betting behind Kerdos here last time. Handicapper has given him a chance on the back of that, though, and no surprise were he to bounce back.
Black Forza (USA)
Useful colt who landed the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood in 2024. However, lightly raced and his record patchy subsequently, off 7 months prior to finishing seventh of 10 in Naas listed race (5f) in May. Cheekpieces on for handicap debut but others look much stronger.
Kerdos (IRE)
Snapped a lengthy losing run in first-time blinkers when edging a strongly-run 9-runner 5f handicap at this venue last month, by ½-length from Eclairage. Step back up to 6f coupled with a 5lb rise tempers enthusiasm for a follow up, though.
Dark Ace (IRE)
Progressive sort who won on all-weather at Wolverhampton and Lingfield this spring before excellent thirds in big fields at Newbury (6f) and the Curragh (5f) in recent months. Lesser efforts last 2 starts, though, and needs to bounce back to best now back on the all-weather.
Collective Power (IRE)
A six-time course winner who has gone close over 5f here on 2 of his last 3 starts, nearest at the finish when ½-length third of 9 to Kerdos 5 weeks ago. Can give another good account.
I Bid You Ajou (FR)
Runner-up 4 times this year, including on last 2 outings, chasing home Gotta Catch'em All in handicap at Naas on latest. Seems sure to give another good account. Cheekpieces back on.
Cuban Grey
Dual winner at this course who arrives on the back of 2 solid in-frame efforts, length third of 12 to Rosie Frith at Curragh on latest. Steps up to 6f for the first time in well over a year now, though.
Allsortz (IRE)
Won over C&D in April and over 5f at Cork in May. Not so good on last 2 starts, though, never threatening when 2½ lengths seventh of 11 to Ipanema Queen at latter track on latest and career best needed to make an impact in this company. Races from 1 lb out of the handicap.
Dandyville (IRE)
Shaped as if retaining ability on 2025 return, but failed to build on that in 3 subsequent starts and difficult to know what to expect now returning to all-weather for a new yard after a year off.
Fox In Flight
Dundalk maiden winner who wasn't disgraced when fifth of 9 in handicap there (5f) last month. Failed to back that up at Cork 12 days later, though, and lines up here from 4 lb out of the handicap.
All The Girls (IRE)
Won 7f maiden at this course as a 2-y-o, but hasn't kicked on this year, placing just once from 4 handicap starts. Races from 7 lb out of the handicap.
