Timeform View

A quartet of in-form rivals to consider, with marginal preference for NORCROSS BROW, who has advertised the talents of his new trainer in recent weeks. Mister Mojito, Cherry Cobbler and Jersey Maverick all have something to recommend them.

Timeform Comments

Cherry Cobbler
Doubled his tally in straightforward fashion on the Rowley course under Chloe Lyons in May. Hard to be too critical about a trio of placed efforts of late and he can make his presence felt again.
Mister Mojito (IRE)
Represents in-form yard and confirmed the promise of last month's C&D second when going one place better at Lingfield 11 days ago. Loughnane back in the saddle and he's on the shortlist.
Jersey Maverick (IRE)
Sole success came at Epsom last summer but placed 3 of 5 starts this season, latest back at that venue a month ago. Eased further 1 lb so weighted to be very competitive.
Norcross Brow
Free-going type who showed fair form without winning for Ollie Pears. Has gone from strength to strength for Charlie Clover, winning for the third time at Haydock a week ago. Up 5 lb in a slightly better race but he's a danger to all.
Aspull
Lost his way after a winning debut for Clive Cox and having left that yard for just £1,000, he showed nothing at this course (6f) last week.
Bucklow Hill (IRE)
Debut winner of 6f maiden at Lingfield in January. Bounced back from a pair of lesser efforts on turf when fourth on handicap debut at Doncaster 3 weeks ago. Now goes up in trip and mark asks for more.
Electrical
Surprise winner on debut at Newbury (6f) last summer but hasn't kicked on since, finishing down the field in handicaps between 7f and 1½m this season. Looks a tricky ride, too.
