Timeform View

CELTIC CHARIOT is getting the hang of things with back-to-back wins including over C&D and he looks capable of staying ahead of the handicapper for a while longer. Berlinetta has made an encouraging start for her new connections with a recent Windsor success and can build on that, while Vega's Virtue looked awkward under pressure last time but could be a threat if in the mood.

Timeform Comments

Celtic Chariot (IRE)
Quickly getting the hang of things now and followed up C&D win in July with success at Yarmouth 23 days ago. The form of both victories has been franked and a 4 lb rise in the weights may not prove enough to stop his winning spree.
Taradif (IRE)
100/1 on first run since leaving Francis-Henri Graffard when seventh of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) on UK debut 48 days ago, slowly away. Not easy to make a case for back on turf.
Napolian (IRE)
Won 2-runner race at Leicester in June but not kicked on since. Now tried in a hood and with claimer who rode him for his victory back on board.
Berlinetta
Improved since joining this yard from William Haggas, winning an 8-runner handicap at Windsor (1m, firm) 19 days ago. Was all out to hold on that day so will need further progress to follow up but that's possible.
Lady Hornblower
Turned in a career-best effort when third of 7 at Beverley in July on the back of a breathing operation but more is required here.
Vega's Virtue (IRE)
Twice a winner at Ripon this year and produced creditable third of 7 in handicap there (1m, good to firm) 12 days ago, though reverted to looking awkward under pressure which tempers enthusiasm for her back up in grade.
Snaafy
Ran well when second of 7 in handicap at Pontefract last month but just respectable ninth of 18 at Galway (8.4f, soft) 15 days ago. Progress required.
