Timeform View

Lots with chances but BLACKJACK HILLS rates just the pick of the weights and wasn't seen to ideal effect from a wide draw when eighth at Galway last time so gets the vote. Youcansaythatagain could emerge as the main danger now going into handicaps ahead of Guinelot and Thyer.

Timeform Comments

Sonoran (IRE)
Arrives below par, ninth of 11 to Admiral Will Brown in handicap at Navan (1¼m, good to firm) 36 days ago. Needs to get back on track.
Thyer
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. Visored for first time, creditable third of 16 in handicap at Galway (1½m, good) 15 days ago, doing too much too soon. One to consider.
Youcansaythatagain (IRE)
Ghaiyyath colt who built on debut promise with cosy win in 7-runner maiden at Down Royal 30 days ago. Capable of better now going into handicaps.
Great Mover (IRE)
Easy Gowran winner in September. Largely in good form since but only tenth of 15 in handicap at Galway (7f, good to soft) 19 days ago. The sort to bounce back.
Unterberg (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick at Dundalk (1½m) in March but has failed to make much of an impact in 4 runs since. Needs to take a big step forward.
Admiral Will Brown
Breakthrough winner at Navan in July. 20/1, creditable ninth of 15 in handicap at Galway 20 days ago. Trainer going well and not ruled out.
Liberation Date
Fair 7f winner at 2yrs. Very good third over 9f here in June but a below-par sixth of 9 in handicap at Gowran (1m, good to firm) 22 days ago. Bounce back needed.
Mighty Danu (IRE)
Made a winning start in 7f maiden at Galway last August. Not disgraced when eighth of 10 on handicap debut at Leopardstown (7f, good to firm) 38 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Storzando (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. Only seventh of 12 in maiden at Galway (1m, good) 15 days ago. Back up in trip for handicap debut and may still do better.
Blackjack Hills (IRE)
Won back-to-back handicaps at Gowran and Dundalk last autumn in blinkers. Good second at Leopardstown refitted with the headgear last month and not best drawn when eighth of 17 in handicap at Galway (1½m, soft) 17 days ago. Worth another chance off a handy-looking mark,
Guinelot (FR)
Built on earlier promise to land 9-runner maiden at Ballinrobe 27 days ago, just holding on. Much respected handicap debutante.
Nibras Rainbow (IRE)
Doubled his tally since rejoining current yard in 22-runner handicap at Leopardstown (9f) in July. Turned in a poor effort with ninth of 15 in handicap at Gowran 4 days ago. No surprise to see him bounce back here.
