BANKS OF THE BOYNE more than backed up his Fairyhouse effort when runner-up at Galway 17 days ago and eased 1 lb since, he's just about the pick of the weights. Mr Montauk is a very solid opponent, with Alrashdeyah a potential improver with Oisin Murphy in the saddle.

Timeform Comments

I Ready (IRE)
Much improved with cheekpieces added when scoring by head from Seven Nation Army on handicap bow over C&D in July. Just a respectable fourth from 7 lb higher upped to 7f last time and more severe headgear now employed.
Banks Of The Boyne (IRE)
Made the most of a handy draw when much-improved ½-length second on qualifying run at Fairyhouse (6f, 100/1). Backed up that performance when occupying same spot at Galway 17 days ago and eased 1 lb, he looks weighted to go very close.
Shesthedevil (IRE)
Found another jolt of improvement when landing 17-runner maiden at Navan (6f) last month, racing alone far side. Showed good speed but ultimately brushed aside in listed company 11 days later and nurseries more suitable.
High Morals (USA)
€90,000 Highly Motivated colt. Showed a bit more than on debut when 5½ lengths second (no match for easy winner) at Bellewstown (1m). Fairly big backward step at Galway (7f) and now drops further in trip for nursery debut.
Celestial Crown (IRE)
Promising debut second at Cork (5f). In nothing like the same form in 3 subsequent starts over the minimum trip but set a couple of stiff tasks in that time. Up in distance on nursery bow.
Away And Gone (IRE)
Minor promise only in her qualifying runs so much more needed to defy this opening mark. Tongue tie applied.
Howlin Wolf (IRE)
Progressive form from an admittedly low base in maiden company. 6f will suit with attentions turned to handicaps.
Alrashdeyah (IRE)
Churchill filly who showed ability amidst inexperience when fourth on debut at Cork (6f, soft) in May. No impact twice since but she's in very capable hands and Murphy an eye-catching jockey booking.
Mr Montauk (IRE)
Much more like it switched to nurseries in recent weeks, third of 5 at Down Royal and unlucky to bump into an unusual one for the grade at Sligo 11 days ago. Can remain very competitive.
