Timeform View

Back on the same mark as when successful in this corresponding race 12 months ago, SURVIVING MURMANSK narrowly gets the vote ahead of recent Cork winner Ina Mina. If they go too hard, Annie's Angel could be the beneficiary, while Lanzhou also appeals following a better effort here on Thursday.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Owl's Delight traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 4 starts: Surviving Murmansk traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Liberated Light (IRE)
Best recent efforts both over this C&D, again responding well to positive tactics when winning here in May. Hasn't been disgraced in a couple of starts on the Flat since and expected to give a good account back hurdling.
Annie's Angel (IRE)
Again failed to fire on Flat for current connections at Galway latest. Did run a solid race when fifth on handicap hurdle bow at Roscommon prior to that. Could do better with cheekpieces on first time in this sphere/good-value claimer back aboard.
Doctor Confusion (FR)
Low-mileage 5-y-o who presumably hasn't been the easiest to keep sound. Excellent yard now adds first-time strap following an underwhelming reappearance at Ballinrobe last month.
Ina Mina
Fairly useful at her best on Flat. Switch to front-running tactics worked well when capitalising on a lenient mark on handicap bow at Cork last time. Up 13 lb for that success but she's far from the finished article over hurdles.
Pahlavi (IRE)
Unruly beforehand when withdrawn on the Flat at Gowran last week. Doesn't look in the heart to capitalise on slipping mark. Now tried in another change of headgear.
Colesberg (IRE)
No impact 4 starts in the spring. Should be capable of better now handicapping following 13 weeks off and is worth noting in the market (yard also saddle Lanzhou).
Glendower
Now 0-17 across both codes. Did run one of his better races over hurdles when beaten 11½ lengths fifth (fourth won since) at Wexford last time. Previously worn tongue strap goes back on.
Truckers Cruising (IRE)
Disappointing since winning impressively over fences at Ayr in December. Latest 7¼ length fifth of 8 in a Sligo claiming hurdle at least a bit better than his previous efforts this season.
Lanzhou (FR)
Fourth on both point starts (sent off favourite second of those). Offered little at long odds in maidens. First form when beaten just over 10 lengths on handicap bow here (2½m) on Thursday. Showed up well for a long way on that occasion and worth a second look back over 2m with Daniel King booked.
Owl's Delight (IRE)
Lightly-raced 7-y-o hinted at ability in a soft-ground Gowran maiden last autumn. Needed his reappearance/stable debut at Wexford last time. Improvement needed now switched to a handicap.
Vairue (IRE)
Veteran hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons. Only made late headway on return from 20 months off at Kilbeggan before falling at the fourth in Cork handicap won by Ina Mina.
Cinnabar Moth (IRE)
Finished much closer than previously on first couple of handicap starts at Listowel/Wexford. Well beaten at the latter track subsequently and just a fair fourth over C&D on Friday.
Depeche Mo (IRE)
Long-standing maiden. Shaped as if back in form when beaten 8 lengths at Wexford in May last year. Has run well fresh but has a significantly longer absence (14 months) to overcome this time.
Surviving Murmansk (IRE)
Front runner returns on same mark as when winning last year's renewal. Shaped as though back in similar form with creditable efforts at Cork and Kilbeggan this month. Has to be of serious interest.
Doyen Og (IRE)
Maiden showed ability remains when beaten less than 8 lengths at Wexford last month. Now fitted with tongue strap having failed to make the same impact at Cork subsequently.
Maxios Lady (IRE)
No impact over hurdles, including when sent off at 50/1 on handicap debut at Listowel (2¾m) last time. Drops back in trip on return from 10 months off.
