Timeform View

Having opened his account at Yarmouth on his penultimate start, HIGHLAND HARVEY confirmed himself still in good form when placed over further back at that venue 12 days ago. He rates a big player again from an unchanged mark, with 3-y-o Risk Averse Rebel and Pershalla heading up the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Trojan Truth
Typically slowly away but recorded a hat-trick last summer and went as close as he has done this season when beaten just a short-head in a 9-runner handicap at Ffos Las (1½m, good, 33/1) 20 days ago, despite taking a while to warm to his task. Player if able to back that up.
Pershalla
Caused a surprise in a first-time hood when winning at Kempton (1½m) in April. Mostly respectable efforts since, again shaping like she'll benefit from the return to this longer trip when fifth of 10 in handicap at Sandown (1¼m, good) 19 days ago.
Saliko
Back-to-back Nottingham winner last July and fared a little better than of late when sixth of 11 in handicap (25/1) at this course (1¼m, good to firm) 28 days ago, despite still having a lot to do when the tempo quickened. Now 10 lb below her last winning mark.
Guinness Lad (IRE)
Utilised a turn of pace to get off the mark at C&D in June and backed that up with another good third-placed effort next time. Couldn't make an impact after a slow break when eighth of 11 in handicap at this course (1¼m, good to firm, 4/1) 28 days ago.
Highland Harvey (IRE)
Placed on 3 of his first 4 starts since coming to Britain and stepped up on those efforts when shedding maiden tag over 11.5f at Yarmouth last month. Lost little in defeat when third of 7 there (1¾m, firm, 6/4) 12 days ago and he can go well again.
Mix De Gris (FR)
Lightly raced maiden on the Flat but he failed to really kick on from finishing second in a Wetherby juvenile hurdle in November 2024. Absent for 16 months since (left Lucinda Russell) and others make more appeal on return to the level.
Judge Frank (IRE)
Without a win in nearly 2 years and hasn't shown enough so far this season to suggest that is about change. Goes back up in trip with cheekpieces reapplied.
Risk Averse Rebel (IRE)
Remains winless but comes here on the back of good placed efforts at Wolverhampton (twice) and Chester, only just failing to reel in the winner after lacking a clear run turning for home there. Should go well again.
Mister Pretentious
Showed more than previously when fourth of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (1¼m, good to firm, 18/1) 23 days ago but likely still opposable for win purposes.
