Timeform View

This may not be the ideal set-up for ZIGGY'S QUEEN, but she's worth chancing on the strength of her all-weather form last winter. Unexposed 3-y-o Celtic Arrow is feared most, with Dream Illusion, Angels' Share and So Sassy also appealing in a competitive opener.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Timeform Comments

So Sassy (IRE)
Back to her best following a 10-week break when scoring by ¾-length over C&D last month. That form has some substance, and she's expected to give another good account off 4 lb higher.
Ziggy's Queen (IRE)
Course winner produced a striking turn of foot (despite a typically awkward head carriage) to win a much stronger event at Lingfield in February. Now attractively handicapped off 6 lb lower following a quiet season on the turf, though she will need plenty to fall right given her wide draw/style.
Amelia's Joy
Made it 2-2 over this C&D on latest all-weather start in April. Better than ever when successful on turf at Leicester (6f) last month. Well-held third when bidding for a double there last time and may be a shade high in the weights on return to this surface.
Dream Illusion
Strong-travelling C&D winner. Won 3 times over the all-weather over the winter/spring. Back on her latest winning mark following a rare poor effort at Southwell (1m) last time and could be worth another chance.
Hamaleel
Off the mark at Kempton (1m) in January. Placed 4 times since, latterly bouncing back to finish 3¾ lengths behind So Sassy here. No guarantee she reverses the form off revised terms, though.
Espanita (IRE)
Relatively lightly-raced 3-y-o. First-time hood added when pushed out to make it 2-2 over C&D last month. Respected from a handy draw off 3 lb higher.
Celtic Arrow (FR)
Low-mileage 3-y-o filly. Showed improved form to go close on turf/handicap debut at Thirsk (6f). Looked ready for this step up in trip when 2¾ lengths fifth at Doncaster subsequently. Makes appeal against some largely exposed rivals here.
Angels' Share
Wide margin winner of consecutive 7f events at Lingfield last summer. Ran better without hitting those heights on all-weather return last time, finishing 2¼ lengths third of 10 to Espanita over C&D. Now 4 lb below her latest successful mark and interesting if building on last time.
Redredrobin
Cheekpieces added when returning to form from out of the blue with 2¼ lengths second at Brighton last time. She was only beaten by a 3-y-o improver and beat the remainder decisively that day. Veteran will be in the mix if translating that form to the all-weather (0-7).
South Coast Star (IRE)
Career-best effort when scoring by 6 lengths in a 3-y-o C&D handicap in June. Races off 9 lb higher in a better race here, having again proved far less effective on turf at Doncaster last time.
