Timeform View

Not a race to be going overboard about. HALCON has been off for 8 weeks but still looks the percentage call following her debut third at Ripon. Forest Berry is capable of running a big race if she settles, while Pon Pon Dalia may show more second time up.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Forest Berry traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP, 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Clear Horizon
Attracted some support but fared no better than previously switched to longer trip/nursery at Ffos Las (7.5f) last time. Plenty to find back in a maiden.
Eagle Storm
Hinted at ability when down the field at Doncaster (6.5f) on debut. Significant step forward needed to reverse form with Forest Berry, though.
Forest Berry
Free-going sort. Runner-up twice in 6f Chepstow maidens. Paid the price for her overexuberance when beaten just over 4 lengths at Doncaster (6.5f) latest. Entitled to confirm form with those she beat and claims if proving more tractable back around a bend with a hood fitted.
Halcon
Benefitted from a brisk gallop to aim at when beaten less than 2 lengths into third on debut at Ripon (6f, 80/1). Yard isn't renowned for its precocious juveniles, so she's entitled to improve for that run. The one to beat provided all is well following 8 weeks off.
Heavenly Parole
Foaled April 21. 12,000 gns yearling, Without Parole filly. Half-sister to winner abroad by Elzaam. Dam twice-raced half-sister to useful/temperamental winner up to 12.3f (stays 14.5f) Struth. Newcomer at least warrants a market check in a thin maiden.
Pon Pon Dalia (IRE)
Showed a bit when 6¼ lengths fifth (behind Forest Berry) on debut at Doncaster (6.5f). May build on that second time up for in-form yard.
Steamy Wonder
Cheap purchase. Showed more with the run of the race to aid when 3 lengths third of 10 in a weak Lingfield maiden second time up.
Theft (IRE)
Very green when seventh behind a couple of today's rivals on debut at Doncaster. Pedigree suggests she may need more time/longer trip.
Velma Dinkley
Showed little in a couple of sprint events at Windsor/Bath. Will be better off in low-grade nurseries.
