COULSTYS WAY was still in contention when unshipping her rider at Galway last month and had posted a good third at Killarney previously. She gets the nod in a open-looking finale. Lady Plimsoll, Lily Parr and Yquem make up the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Catherine Magennis (IRE)
Thrice-raced maiden who ran to a fair level when third of 9 in maiden over similar trip at Ballinrobe 29 days ago. May do better on switch to handicapping.
Duke Of Leggagh (IRE)
C&D winner last term and went on to score at Bellewstown in October. Not fired in a couple of starts this term, though.
Daonethatgotaway
Ran well at Dundalk last winter, taking 12f handicap in February. However, not been in quite same form on turf more recently.
Deralo Ir (FR)
Runner-up twice in France in spring 2025 but yet to figure in a couple of outings for new yard this season.
Lady Plimsoll (IRE)
Consistent sort who was returning from 4 months off when respectable third of 18 in handicap (12/1) at Galway (1¾m, soft) 18 days ago. Yard in good form. Likely contender.
Enchanted Lady
Gradually progressive in a trio of maidens but well beaten in both starts in handicap company. Now tried in cheekpieces for first time.
Summer Snow (IRE)
Struggling for form at present, although wasn't seen to best effect at Gowran (7f) last time. Remains to be seen if this much longer trip will suit.
Double Indian
Well held in a bumper and no real encouragement to glean from 3 starts in maidens this summer. May do better now tried in handicaps, though.
Coulstys Way (IRE)
C&D winner who got back to best when third of 11 over longer trip at Killarney last month and was in the process of running well when clipping heels and unseating rider at Galway since. Enters calculations.
Lily Parr
Hit the frame in pair of 1½m maidens last autumn and left her reappearance run well behind when sixth of 17 in handicap at Galway (1½m, soft, 50/1) 19 days ago. Warrants respect.
Master Sydney (IRE)
Bumper winner who stepped forward from this season's return when sixth of 14 in C&D handicap in May and arrives on back of good third of 13 in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan 10 days ago. Respected.
Out On Friday (IRE)
Course winner who was second of 16 at Fairyhouse in May but found things tougher since and makes limited appeal.
Spy
Not the most consistent but scored over shorter trip at Dundalk when last seen on Flat in December and has been successful over hurdles at Listowel more recently. Visor on first time. Could be a player.
Chopsticks (IRE)
Just 1 win from 27 Flat runs and recent efforts haven't offered much encouragement.
Fianna (IRE)
Fair maiden but been some time since she showed her best form, well held at Gowran on debut for new yard in April. Cheekpieces back on.
Yquem (IRE)
Landed a gamble when scoring over shorter trip at Leopardstown in June and made the frame in both outings since, latest when creditable fourth of 13 in handicap at Gowran 24 days ago. One of likelier contenders.
Autocrat (IRE)
Scored at Dundalk in January but has struggled on turf more recently. Best watched from 5 lb out of the handicap. RESERVE.
Piatra Neamt (IRE)
Yet to score after 10 attempts and makes limited appeal from 5 lb out of the handicap. RESERVE.
