Timeform View

Ruth Carr has her team in form so it may be worth chancing her new recruit FATE'S GAMBIT, who is nicely handicapped on his peak form in Ireland. Fellow 3-y-o Long Shot is second choice. April Diamond could also have a say if recapturing the level of her course handicap debut second.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

April Diamond traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Why Because has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 4 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Why Because (IRE)
Fair form on all-weather for Harry Charlton last year. Hasn't quite reproduced that on turf for current yard but this is the first time she's dipped to a 0-60.
Renewable Dream
14/1, first run since leaving Seb Spencer when last of 8 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, firm) 32 days ago. His yard has tasted recent success in this race but would need to see market support to consider.
Reenie's Dream
Unreliable sort. Creditable fourth of 12 at Southwell in March but not in the same form there a month later. Off since (has had breathing operation). Second over C&D 12 months ago.
Fate's Gambit (IRE)
Fair form at best in Ireland for Robson De Aguiar. HIs new stable is among the winners and interesting contender up against largely more exposed opposition.
Zous Juice (IRE)
Modest maiden who has finished down the field in a pair of 1m handicaps this year nearly 4 months apart. Would need to see market support to consider.
Blairtum Night
Night Of Thunder gelding who has offered little in 3 novice events but more chance now handicapping, particularly with his yard among the winners.
April Diamond (IRE)
Very lightly-raced 5-y-o. Improved effort when runner-up on handicap bow over 6f here in June but 2 disappointing runs have followed. A return to Carlisle needs to help spark a revival.
Rajawail
Long-standing maiden who has lost her way.
Long Shot
Has made the frame 5 times in handicaps this season. Not at his best when fourth of 13 in Newcastle classified race last time but still rates one of the more likely contenders here.
Runninman (IRE)
First run since leaving Stephen Hanlon when twelfth of 13 in classified event (25/1) at Newcastle (6f) 19 days ago. Needs to leave that run well behind. Cheekpieces go back on.
