YELLOW DIAMONDS shaped quite well tackling 6f for the first time at Thirsk recently and is given a chance to build on that promise. The return to 6f looks ideal for Hares Bredth who may provide the main threat ahead of Maximum Velocity, who had a possible excuse when behind the selection last time.

Timeform Comments

Maximum Velocity (IRE)
Made all to open his account in a 7f Redcar handicap in May. Much sharper for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces when career-best second (clear of rest) at Leicester (6f) in July and has a stumble at the start as an excuse for a lesser run at Thirsk since.
Yellow Diamonds (IRE)
Musselburgh novice winner for Kevin Philippart de Foy last year. Best effort for new yard when second of 10 at Thirsk 12 days ago, her first attempt over 6f. Might prove the answer from an unchanged mark.
Kilmac Air (IRE)
Modest form in Ireland for Donnacha O'Brien, although not disgraced in a big field at the Curragh on handicap debut. New connections acquired her for 14,000 gns last month. One to note in the betting.
Oasis Cover
Good second in handicap at Redcar (6f) in June on final outing for Ed Bethell but hasn't reproduced that form in 3 outings for Micky Hammond.
Hares Bredth
Better than ever when opening his account in 10-runner handicap at Redcar (6f, good) in June. Respectable sixth of 11 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 18 days ago, fading late. The return to 6f looks ideal. Enters calculations.
Heathers Feather (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden. 18/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 19 days ago.
Northern Tempest
Maiden who is easing in the weights without giving any obvious indication he's ready to take advantage
Dream Forever (IRE)
Returned this year with pair of in-the-frame efforts at Newcastle but has lost is way in more recent starts. Needs first-time blinkers to have a revitalising effect.
