A few with chances but it could be worth siding with LAKE COMO who is a dual winner on the all-weather and returns after a break (also gelded) on a handy-looking mark. Hat-trick seeking Victory Ace rates a big threat stepping back up to 1m, with Darn Hot Gallop also of interest back on an artificial surface. Recent course scorer Percy's Lad also commands plenty of respect.

Timeform Comments

Percy's Lad
Made the most of a good draw when off the mark for the season in 11-runner handicap over 7f here a week ago, just holding on. Has a 4 lb penalty to carry for that narrow win but he ought to be a factor again. Engaged 6.30 Wolverhampton Tuesday.
Mr Professor (IRE)
Winner of the Lincoln in 2024 but lightly raced since. Off 11 months/first run since leaving Raphael Freire when a solid sixth of 13 in handicap at Thirsk (1m, good to soft) in May. Back from another layoff but not out of things.
Breakdancer (IRE)
Course winner last August. Largely in good form without winning this season, third of 10 in handicap at Ayr (1m, good to firm) 11 days ago. Needs considering.
Lake Como (IRE)
Won novice/handicap on all-weather in December. Sound efforts in defeat on first 2 outings this year but not at his best on turf at Newbury and Epsom last 2 runs. Freshened up since (also gelded) and not without interest back on an artificial surface with cheekpieces also sported for the first time.
Darn Hot Gallop
Won a pair of all-weather events in November and took a big step forward on handicap debut when scoring at Newmarket on return. Last of 6 in handicap at Newmarket (1¼m, good to firm) last month but no surprise to see her bounce back on polytrack debut.
Lucky Camino (IRE)
Gelded before landing 5-runner handicap at Hamilton (1m, good to firm) last month, possibly still green but knuckling down well enough in the end. Up 4 lb and in the mix on polytrack debut with few miles still on the clock.
Night Wolf
Has twice failed to build on promising debut York (7f) fifth for John and Sean Quinn, finishing last of 6 in novice at Pontefract (1¼m, good) on return in April. Gelded since and cheekpieces go on for handicap debut.
Chapter (IRE)
Blinkered for first time when scoring at Sandown in June and backed it up with good second of 4 in handicap at Wolverhampton following month. Very much one to consider.
Victory Ace
Arrives on the up and bidding for a hat-trick after handicap wins at Newcastle (1m) and over 7f here (cheekpieces on for first time) recently. Big player with this return to 1m a likely plus.
Lili Marleen (GER)
Won on all-weather at Chantilly in December for Waldemar Hickst but was pulled up on stable debut and has failed to beat a rival at Wolverhampton and over C&D since. Has it all to prove.
