Plenty of depth to this novice with HANDMEDOWNASTAR selected to continue on the up having joined a stable going places since his Fontwell win. Road To Wembley is feared most, despite the fact that Sean Bowen has presumably elected to ride fellow hat-trick seeker Newbrook Diamond instead.

Timeform Comments

Newbrook Diamond (IRE)
Point winner. Fairly useful form in Irish maidens last season and successful both starts last month, despite the odd error at Cartmel latterly. Double penalty to shoulder but Sean Bowen takes over.
Road To Wembley
Fairly useful staying handicapper on the Flat for Richard Hughes and confirmed the promise of his hurdling/stable debut when landing the odds at Southwell in April. Overcame significant interference when following up at Aintree a month later and there's more to come in this code.
Square D'alboni (FR)
Useful 3-time winner on Flat for Ralph Beckett and has essentially outclassed the opposition last 2 starts at up to 19f. Life gets harder now up in distance under a double penalty but he's in the right hands to go on progressing.
Bright Legend (IRE)
Fairly useful across both codes at his best. Back on the up for current yard when making most of good opportunity at Sedgefield (2½m) before finishing well held in a competitive Punchestown handicap in late-April. Not given a hard time once chance had gone at Uttoxeter last month.
Handmedownastar (IRE)
Irish point winner who has made a promising start in 2¼m maiden hurdles, merely nudged out to get off the mark at Fontwell in May. Since made the switch to and up-and-coming yard so there should be lots more to come with Harry Cobden in the plate again.
Oneinthewell (IRE)
Irish bumper winner on debut for Thomas Cooper. Took a while to double his tally for current connections but gained reward for a string of consistent efforts in handicap company last month. Looks vulnerable back in a novice.
Phantom Gold (IRE)
Followed up point bumper win with stylish/fairly useful success in Newton Abbot bumper on Rules debut back in 2023. Shaped well first 2 starts in handicaps before getting it right over C&D last month. Limit not yet reached for in-form stable.
Cadillac Ranch (IRE)
€68,000 3-y-o, £10,000 5-y-o,first foal: dam unraced sister to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 2¼m) Tintangle and half-sister to smart hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Tombstone. Dual winning pointer, pulled up all 3 starts in 2026 (latest Apr 6).
Not Now (FR)
Minor promise only in 3 starts under Rules and he looks a long-term project.
Shesonnet (IRE)
Helped by the way things developed when successful on return/handicap debut at Warwick (21f) in May and quickly returned to a similar level when second over C&D last month. Vulnerable to less exposed sorts.
Delgany Headline
Handicap project for his leading stable.
Likewhatyousee (USA)
Progressive middle-distance winner on Flat for C. W. J. Farrell. Changed hands for 60,000 gns and confirmed the promise of hurdling debut when making short work of her rivals in 17f maiden at Newton Abbot last month. Matched that form when runner-up under a penalty at Uttoxeter.
