STARSHINE LEGEND will need to improve on what he's displayed so far over hurdles but this trip may well be the catalyst on handicap debut for his leading yard. Mrs Biddle is an interesting runner for new connections, who turn to Harry Cobden, while Warner's Cross ought to remain competitive.

Timeform Comments

Starshine Legend (IRE)
Fair middle-distance winner on the Flat who shaped nicely under a considerate ride when third of 5 on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter in June, finishing with running left. Failed to build on that twice since but this longer trip promises to suit now handicapping.
Midnight Jewel
Likeable front runner who returned to winning ways in a handicap chase at Fontwell last September. Lower hurdles mark is justified and he was just a fair fifth on last month's C&D reappearance.
Mrs Biddle (IRE)
Failed to win a race for Garrett James Power in Ireland but she's been the subject of a potentially beneficial stable switch and the booking of Harry Cobden catches the eye.
Iamcelestialgift (FR)
Made a winning debut in 19f Carlisle maiden hurdle last spring. Little show since in fleeting appearances, going backwards from his reappearance when last of 9 over 23f here in July. Blinkers go on.
Warner's Cross (IRE)
Lost his way for Clare Hobson but fitted with a hood, he landed a gamble starting out for a new stable at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago, driven out. Back up 7 lb but scope on old form and may yet have more to come for this yard.
Gone In Sixty
Showed no ill-effects from Fakenham fall when second in a steadily-run handicap at Southwell in June. Has shaped as though still in form both outings since but record of 1-40 tempers enthusiasm for win purposes.
Could Be You (IRE)
Placed both starts in Irish points. Featured more prominently in the market but fared no better on handicap/stable debut at Ffos Las in late-April. Since undergone breathing operation and worth a second look in the betting given who trains him.
Dynamite Defense (IRE)
Modest performer on the Flat who showed little in a handful of hurdle starts for Olly Murphy, Made slightly more of an impact when third over C&D last month but it isn't form to be getting carried away with.
Babychino (IRE)
Slow to get the hang of things over hurdles but more like it under this rider in recent weeks, placed at Uttoxeter and Stratford (2¾m). Slight drop in trip will only help her cause.
Lucky In Taipan (IRE)
Displayed ability in bumpers in 2024. No impact for Max Young last year and failed badly to land a punt starting out for this yard at Perth in July.
