Timeform View

LIBERTANGO had recent Phoenix Stakes winner Sun Goddess behind in second when landing the Albany at Royal Ascot so that form looks strong and she's taken to make amends for a short-priced reversal at Newmarket. Owner Jaber Abdullah has won this race 5 times (also had the second last year) and his wide-margin Leopardstown maiden scorer Star of State is feared most ahead of Wild Blossom, whose yard has won this twice since 2019, and Ruby Moon, who was 2 lengths behind the selection at Newmarket.

Timeform Comments

Alta Regina (IRE)
Justified market support with ease on her 5f Lingfield debut (turf). Better form when sixth of 27 in Queen Mary at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) next time but needs to bounce back from a disappointing run when stepped up to 6f (should be suited by it) in Princess Margaret back at Ascot since.
Angels Passing (IRE)
Shaped well when fourth of 10 to Love A Giggle in 5f course listed race on debut in May and duly made short work of 2 rivals in a 6f Hamilton maiden (both good ground) 3 weeks later. Pitched in deep back from an 11-week break but she looks capable of better.
Big Negotiator
Made it third time lucky in novice over 5f here in June. Found the Queen Mary too much just 5 days later but resumed her progression with a visor added when landing a 5f Naas listed event (good) 4 weeks ago by 1¼ lengths from reopposing Shimmering Sun. Should prove just as effective back at 6f.
Bint Archange (IRE)
Raced at 5f, winning Ascot novice on good to firm and Sandown listed event on good. Below par in the Super Sprint at Newbury last time. Has something to find on form but 6f should suit and the same connections had the second in this last year.
Crownbreaker (IRE)
Fifth of 27 in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot in June before landing a listed race at Deauville in July. Had an excuse (stumbled halfway) when well held in Molecomb at Goodwood latest. Races beyond 5f for the first time now.
Crystal Queen (IRE)
Confirmed her debut promise when winning the 8-runner Hilary Needler at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in May. No impact in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot since and this is no easier. Engaged 5.20 here Wednesday.
Desert Sands (IRE)
Fair form at best after 4 starts and out of her depth here.
In The Black
320,000 gns Havana Grey filly who made a winning start to her career in a 4-runner maiden at Caelisle (5f, good to firm) in June. Well on top at the finish and should have more to offer but this is a big jump in class. Has had a breathing operation.
Jolivette
Created a fine impression when winning Newmarket novice on debut but her limitations have seemingly been exposed behind Libertango in Group races at Royal Ascot and Newmarket since. Colin Keane on the other Juddmonte runner.
Libertango (IRE)
Followed debut success with an impressive win in the 25-runner Albany at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm), with recent Group 1 winner Sun Goddess behind in second. Not in quite same form when ¾-length second to Senorita Bonita in Duchess of Cambridge at Newmarket since but still the one to beat.
Livenka
Progressive, winning Fairyhouse maiden and a valuable event at Naas (both 6f, good) on last 2 starts. Looked a smart prospect when quickening clear in impressive style at the latter track and can make her presence felt in a higher grade.
Love A Giggle (IRE)
Made it 2-2 when pipping Armor Supreme on the line in listed Marygate over 5f here in May but well held in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot next time. Got her career back on track when fourth of 9 in 6f Newmarket nursery (good to firm) 19 days ago but plenty more will be needed back in Group company.
Miss Kodi (IRE)
Wide-margin winner of Chepstow novice (6f, good) on debut in June, quickening clear final 1f despite some tail flashes. Bettered that form when 1¼ lengths fifth of 11 to Moonrise in Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot (6f, good to firm) but she again flashed her tail.
Moonrise (IRE)
Churchill filly who made it 2-3 (runner-up in the Windsor Castle in between) when shading a tight finish in the Princess Margaret at Ascot (6f, good to firm) 26 days ago. More needed if she's to come out on top again here.
Ruby Moon (IRE)
Hit the line strongly when landing 6f novice at Carlisle on debut and acquitted herself really well in a higher grade when 2¾ lengths fourth of 8 to Senorita Bonita (Libertango second) in Duchess of Cambridge at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) since. Likely to progress again and on the shortlist.
Sexy Chick
Havana Grey filly who came good in a 6f Newmarket novice (good to firm) last month. Respectable 6 lengths eighth of 13 to Angels Lane in listed race at Newbury (5f, good to firm) last Friday. The return to 6f is in her favour but she has lots to find on form.
Shimmering Sun (IRE)
Raced at 5f, winning on debut in May. Advanced her form when 3½ lengths seventh of 27 in Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and good 1¼ lengths second of 9 to Big Negotiator in listed race at Naas (both good to firm) since, nearest finish having had to wait for a gap. Will stay 6f. More to come.
Star Of State (IRE)
Confirmed debut promise and then some when bolting up 9 lengths in 6.5f Leopardstown maiden (good) 5 weeks ago. Exciting prospect who can make her presence felt at pattern level for owner who targets this race.
Wild Blossom (IRE)
Looked something out of the ordinary when bolting up by 10 lengths from Crownbreaker on her 5f Carlisle debut (soft) in May. Only tenth in the Queen Mary next time but immediately back on the up with 5f Glorious Goodwood conditions race win last month. First attempt at 6f. Capable of even better.
