A case can be made for quite a few of these, but MORROPHORE has looked a pattern-class performer in the making, winning 3 of her 5 handicap starts, so John & Thady Gosden's 5-y-o can take this step up in class in her stride on reappearance. This more galloping track should suit A La Prochaine, so she heads up the opposition, with Without Prejudice and Summerson a pair who fall into the 'could be anything' category.

Timeform Comments

Ashariba (FR)
Won a listed race at Saint-Cloud in October and returned after 7 months off with respectable second of 9 in a similar event at Le Lion-D'Angers in May. Clearly not 100% in Group 3 at Newcastle (1¼m) when last seen 8 weeks ago so needs to bounce back.
Club Class
Gained reward for consistency when landing a Kempton maiden last September. Has proven expensive to follow in handicaps subsequently, though did up her game when length second of 9 to Brielle in listed race at Newmarket (1½m, good to firm) last month. Needs to prove that was no fluke.
Merveilleux Lapin (IRE)
Polish Oaks winner who was unlucky not to make a successful handicap/stable debut on reappearance at Windsor in May (denied clear run). Ran to a similar level when third of 9 in handicap at Ascot (1½m, good to firm) last month but she's had her limitations exposed at this level.
Morrophore (FR)
Lightly-raced mare who has won 3 of her 5 handicap starts, most recently when nailing Sky Safari late in 10-runnner event at Lingfield (1¼m) in January. That sets the standard so, provided she's ready to roll, she's fancied to take this step up in class in her stride with 1½m holding no fears.
Perfect Your Craft (IRE)
3-time winner for Ralph Beckett. Sold for 300,000 gns and went down by a nose in 20-runner handicap at the Curragh on yard debut/return. Similar form in pattern company the last twice, staying rather than improving for a longer trip when third of 9 at Fairyhouse (1¾m) 6 weeks ago.
Rhapsody (IRE)
Progressed to win course handicap before close third in Milan listed race last year. Promising return when fourth in Royal Ascot handicap and built on that when 3½ lengths second of 8 to Moody in Group 3 at the Curragh (1¼m) last month. Upped to 1½m and would be folly to discount.
Ryka (IRE)
Enhanced her good strike rate when winning a listed race at Toulouse (1½m) with a bit in hand last October. Below par in similar event on reappearance at the beginning of May and off again since.
A La Prochaine (FR)
Promising start when winning Newbury maiden in the mud last autumn. Acquitted herself well up in trip/grade when third in Cheshire Oaks on return and ran as well as could've been expected when fourth in Oaks at Epsom next time. Open to further improvement, especially on this more galloping track.
Capichera (IRE)
Took advantage of a good opportunity back in novice company at Pontefract (1m) in June. Sent off a strong favourite upped to 1¼m but unsuited by lack of early pace when third of 7 in handicap at Windsor last month. Upped further in distance here and remains capable of better granted a truer test.
K Sarra
Made a winning debut at Southwell in November and confirmed that promise at the second attempt when third in the Musidora here in May. Lacklustre effort in the Oaks next time and failed to shake that off when seventh to Brielle in listed race at Newmarket (1½m) last month. First-time blinkers on.
Prizeland
Bagged a pair of all-weather novices at Kempton and Lingfield and took her form up another notch when 1¾ lengths second of 6 to Superior Choice in listed race at Hamilton (11f, good to firm) last month. Yard tend to do well with this family at 3 yrs so she may have more to offer.
Summerson
Kingman filly who opened her account in impressive style in 4-runner maiden at Ffos Las (1½m, good) just over 3 weeks ago. Quite what she achieved that day is hard to quantify, but she falls into the 'could be anything category' and can improve again now stepping up in grade.
Sunshine Star
Confirmed her debut promise at the second time of asking when winning Lingfield novice in June. Denied a clear run when second on handicap debut next time and acquitted herself as well as could've been expected when fourth in listed race at Newmarket (1½m) earlier in the month. More needed.
Vauntingly (IRE)
Didn't need to advance her form to get off the mark in a Killarney maiden (11.3f, good) last month but showed much improved form stepping into listed company when short-head second of 7 at Gowran (1½m, good to firm) next time. Entitled to progress again.
Without Prejudice (IRE)
Starman filly who looked a chip off the old block despite her SP hardly screaming she was felt so when winning 4-runner novice at Newmarket (1¼m, good to firm) on debut just under 3 weeks ago. Immediately hiked up in class and she's open to significant improvement.
