Timeform View

NORHAM was getting the message late on his debut at Chepstow last month and strikes as the type to take a big step forward now upped to a trip more in keeping with his pedigree, so it’s reasonable to believe he could improve past standard-setter Eighth Immortal. Mount St is another likely improver and also needs considering.

Timeform Comments

Brondesbury (IRE)
Is bred to make a speedy 2-y-o but has offered little in a pair of novices.
Call Of The Sea (FR)
Sea The Moon colt who was too free when well held on his debut at Ascot 6 weeks ago.
Eighth Immortal (IRE)
Shaped well when second in a strong Leicester maiden (7f) on debut. Didn't seem to relish the sharper test when third at Chester (6f) and returned to something like debut form when third in 5-runner nursery at Doncaster (7f) 3 weeks ago. Sets the standard in first-time cheekpieces.
Norham (IRE)
Ten Sovereigns gelding who showed promise amidst greenness when fourth of 9 in 5f novice at Chepstow on debut last month, finishing with running left. Sure to improve over this 2f longer trip.
Shemiyla Star (IRE)
Fair form when reaching the frame in maidens at Pontefract (6f, good) and Epsom (7f, good to firm) first 2 starts. Seemed unsuited by track when well held in valuable maiden at Goodwood latest. This more suitable.
Xochipilli
Foaled February 23. €72,000 2-y-o, Blue Point colt. Half-brother to 1m winner Divine Knight and 11f winner Dzsingisz Kan. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 10.2f (stayed 16.5f) Thunderous. Quite an expensive breeze-up purchase for the yard and needs a look in the betting.
Pirates Paradise (IRE)
State of Rest gelding who was unfancied in the betting but offered something to work on with cheekpieces fitted for debut when fifth of 9 in 7f novice at Yarmouth 20 days ago. Likely to improve.
Planet Bluebird
Foaled March 17. Massaat colt. Dam, 1¼m-1½m winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Birdlover.
Casablanca Dream (IRE)
€55,000 2-y-o, No Nay Never filly who was well held in 6f novice at Nottingham on debut 19 days ago. Extra 1f can only help on pedigree but needs a big step forward.
Remember The Show
50,000 gns Showcasing filly. Half-sister to useful 7f winner Elements of Fire and 7f winner Forgotten Treasure. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner. Showed only greenness when last of 9 in 7f Haydock novice on recent debut but yard's runners can often take a big step forward second time up.
Mount St (IRE)
23,000 gns yearling, Persian Force filly. Half-sister to useful French 7f-9.4f winner Chica de Ciudad and 1m winner Ourbren. Looked in need of the experience when third of 11 in 7f novice at Newmarket on debut last week and should improve.
Purple Dream
Well held in maiden/minor event.
Starlight Bay (IRE)
Foaled April 11. €55,000 foal, 10,000 gns yearling, New Bay filly. Half-sister to 1½m winner Ledecky. Dam, 1m winner who stayed 1½m, closely related to useful 11f-15f winner Fortunino. Yard's newcomers tend to need the run.
