LETTERSTON LILY returned an improved model when successful at Perth in April and is fancied to resume winning ways back over a more suitable trip. Returning Handlethekettle merits plenty of respect, along with consistent course winner Morning Mayhem.

Handlethekettle might not get things all its own way near the head of affairs but shouldn’t be held back by that alone: The leaders will have to go harder than the predicted pace forecast if the hold-up horses such as Letterston Lily are going to come into things.

Useful chaser. Confirmed ability remains when beaten just under 10 lengths in the Summer Plate last time. Possibly in need of the run that day (had gone well fresh previously), though doesn't look especially well treated on first hurdle start for nearly 3 years. Inexperienced amateur takes over.
Zillow
Lost his way for the Willie Mullins yard after completing a cross-code hat-trick in listed handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse in November. Fared no better for a significantly longer trip at Uttoxeter (23f, 40/1) latest. Only considered if market hints at a revival on third start for current yard.
American Sniper (IRE)
Fairly useful type. Decisively capitalised on a falling mark over C&D in late-May. Typically made the running when coming up well short off 6 lb higher at Uttoxeter (23f) subsequently. Probably vulnerable off an unchanged mark.
Handlethekettle (IRE)
Progressive front runner. Made it 4 from 5 over hurdles for current yard courtesy of a sound-jumping performance over 2½m at Worcester (3-3 at the track) in July last year. He's still lightly raced for his age and has to be considered given his record fresh.
Kitty Foyle (IRE)
Course winner made the most of a good opportunity in a 3-runner event at Wincanton in April. Given plenty to do when second at Huntingdon the following month, splitting a pair of next-time-out winners. Best not to read too much into her latest spin on the Flat, and she's a player back hurdling.
Morning Mayhem
Consistent type with 4 wins for current yard, latterly coping best with conditions here (good to soft) in June. Addition of cheekpieces did no harm when 7¾ lengths fourth in a typically competitive Summer Hurdle latest. Back in calmer waters and still relatively unexposed over this sort of trip.
Letterston Lily
Improved on the back of a 17-month absence when sweeping to success at Perth (2½m) in April. Well backed but found out by drop back to 2m in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen subsequently. She's still only a 6-y-o and looks very interesting back over a more suitable test.
Supreme Yeats (IRE)
Thriving veteran who landed back-to-back handicaps here (3¼m) in May. Blinkers refitted when overcoming step back in trip/career-high mark in a small-field event at Bangor (2½m) in late-June. Will need to defy a career-high mark to make it 3-3 at this track.
