Timeform View

Eve Johnson Houghton looks to have a strong hand here with NIGHT IN VEGAS, who has useful form to his name in better company than this, the one to beat. Zigazig Ah has already bagged a valuable pot this summer and she can be a factor over 6f, with Everatease, a stablemate of the selection, also of interest.

Timeform Comments

A Bear Affair (IRE)
Kodi Bear colt who won the Brocklesby at Doncaster on the opening day of the turf season. Best effort since when ½-length second of 8 to Bint Archange in listed race at Sandown (5f, good) last month but he was brushed aside returned to 6f at Newbury.
Night In Vegas (IRE)
Impressed when making a winning debut over 6f at Ascot and following up in 3-runner race at Goodwood. Progressed again when length fifth of 21 to Great Barrier Reef in Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and subsequent placed effort in the Richmond adds further weight that he's the one to beat.
Baddaddan (IRE)
Confirmed the promise of his Newbury debut when landing 3-runner novice at Nottingham (6f) 11 days ago. This demands another jolt of improvement from these terms but his limit hasn't been reached.
Chief Minister
Set to struggle on the evidence of his first 2 runs.
Conciliate (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica colt who didn't need to improve on the level displayed when third at York in June to get off the mark at Ayr last month. Displayed a good attitude that day but dominating this big field a different undertaking.
Everatease
Winner of 6f sellers at Chester and York at the start of the summer, with the form of the latter franked on several occasions since. Upped his game himself when second of 5 in a nursery at Windsor and that form entitles him to respect.
Red Blue Point (IRE)
92,000 gns yearling, Blue Point colt. Half-brother to 7f winner Espona Bay. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. Very promising start when second of 8 after a slow start at Thirsk (5f) 3 weeks ago. Sure to leave bare form of that well behind.
Mojito Madness (IRE)
Continued theme of race-by-race progress when landing 13-runner maiden at Redcar last month (7f). Runner-up that day won next time but this is a deeper race and drop back to 6f isn't bound to suit.
Frumoasa (IRE)
Matched form of winning debut at Southwell when third at Kempton in May. Off since and that level well short of what is required here switched to turf.
Topaz (IRE)
Runner-up either side of a mid-field effort in the Albany and put that experience to good use when landing the odds at Salisbury a month ago. Can make her presence felt.
Baldetti (IRE)
Half-brother to 3 winners and built on debut promise when second of 7 in novice at Pontefract (6f, good) last month. Failed badly to back that up at Hamilton and this a tough race to bounce back in.
Issy's Gift
Foaled April 24. €19,000 foal, 27,000 gns yearling, Ardad colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Galeron and 1¼m-1½m winner Goldenfield, both useful. Dam unraced. Too green to show much on debut at Chepstow in May.
Leucothea (IRE)
Improved for the return to 6f when second in a Nottingham nursery but she's had 5 starts now and looks vulnerable.
Proper Naughty (IRE)
Foaled February 1. 50,000 gns yearling, Mehmas filly. Dam, French 7f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Better Together out of useful 1¼m winner Shared Account. Displayed ability when third of 6 on debut at Windsor 3 weeks ago. Expected to build on that.
Zigazig Ah
Rajasinghe filly who opened her account in a Yarmouth maiden (6f) in June before getting her head down where it mattered to land valuable Super Sprint at Newbury. Similar form when fifth in a conditions stakes at Goodwood 3 weeks ago. Back up in distance.
Supreme Star (IRE)
Sharper for debut when second of 5 at Nottingham last month. Not in the same form despite occupying same spot at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago.
Lady Rosalind
Left Yarmouth debut behind when winning 11-runner novice at Ripon (6f, good). Mixed messages from that form and she was well held at Windsor last time.
Tallahassee Lassie
Left previous form behind when making a winning nursery debut (well backed) at Ffos Las 5 weeks ago, bit in hand. Unable to land a blow at Kempton returned to 6f and tough ask on these terms.
Ron's Angel
Harry Angel filly who confirmed debut promise when landing the odds on the all-weather in June. Out of depth in Albany 15 days later but back on track when second in a nursery at Lingfield last month.
Polgaria
Has hinted at ability in 3 runs. Open to progress but low-grade nurseries likely more suitable.
