NICELY holds the edge on form and with this return to 6f also a plus she is taken to quickly resume winning ways. George Boughey's Takaaful made a promising start when fourth in a Newbury maiden and looks open to plenty of improvement so could prove the main danger ahead of Bated Benevolence and Gladys Pugh.

Timeform Comments

Bated Benevolence
Bated Breath filly who went 2-3 with success in 8-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (6f) last month having found Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f) too tough. Not out of things.
Gladys Pugh (IRE)
Mehmas filly was much improved from debut when second of 6 in novice at York (6f, good to firm) 28 days ago. Likely to progress further and well in the mix.
Jazz Queen (IRE)
Went close in 5.5f maiden here in May and that remains a standout effort, well held in handicaps at Lingfield and Carlisle last 2 runs.
Kentucky Rain (IRE)
Fairly useful form when landing 5f Beverley maiden in July. Tongue strap on for first time when a below-par fourth of 8 in listed race at Deauville (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Bounce back is needed.
Nicely (IRE)
Easy winner of 6f maiden at Hamilton in July. Not discredited with sixth of 7 in Group 3 at Deauville (7f, good) 20 days ago, fading last 1f. Looks the one to beat reverted to 6f now with stall 1 to attack from.
Takaaful
13/2, shaped well when fourth of 11 in maiden at Newbury (6f, firm) on debut 36 days ago, fading late on having pulled hard. This Minzaal filly can take a sizeable step forward here.
The Can Can Queen
Landed 6f novice at Ripon in May. Excellent third in 6f listed race at Newmarket but last of 11 in Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot (6f, good to firm) since. Not ruled out if back on song here.
