BOSTON ROVER made big strides over fences last season and, with his recent return under his belt, is taken to resume progress and get back to winning ways. Jalila Moriviere has been knocking on the door of late and should appreciate the drop in trip after failing to stay at Galway last time, while Solitary Man can’t be ruled out back at his favoured venue.

Timeform Comments

Senecia (IRE)
Smart performer on his day who proved at least as good as ever when making all in a Grade 3 over C&D in May. Let down by jumping having bled in the Galway Plate last time, though. Difficult to fancy.
Solitary Man (IRE)
Course specialist who added a fifth success at this track to his name when landing a 23f hunter in May prior to landing the Midlands National at Kilbeggan last month. Struggled off higher mark in Galway Plate last time, but this is less competitive and return to this venue a major positive.
Jalila Moriviere (FR)
Good runner-up efforts at Punchestown in April and June. Shaped as if still in good form despite looking stretched by the trip when 24¼ lengths ninth of 20 to Kings Hill in 2¾m handicap chase at Galway last time. Will be suited by this return to shorter.
Boston Rover (IRE)
Progressed well over fences last season, winning over an extended 23f at this track before completing a hat-trick at Gowran. Shaped as if he'd be sharper for the outing when 14¾ lengths fifth of 14 to Solitary Man in Midlands National at Kilbeggan last time. Not yet fully exposed.
She's A Fine Wine (IRE)
Useful effort when winning handicap chase at Cork last season and defied an 8-month absence to capitalise on lower hurdles mark at Downpatrick in June. Shaped better than result at Galway last time and won't be inconvenienced by the longer trip now back chasing.
Ballybawn Belter (IRE)
Won at Limerick over Christmas. Mixed record since and shaped as if amiss at Galway last month. Looks to be the owner's second string.
Mousey Brown (IRE)
Without a win since June 2024 but has largely been holding her form in the interim, looking back to something like her best when 7½ lengths fourth of 20 to Grann's Boy in handicap hurdle at Galway 3 weeks ago. Races from 1 lb out of the handicap.
Rexem (IRE)
Snapped a long losing run over fences when landing 8-runner handicap at Kilbeggan 2 weeks ago, beating Jasko Des Dames by a ½ length. 4 lb rise for that success still leaves him 2 lb out of the handicap here.
Drumgill (IRE)
Yard was in top form when he turned in his best effort this season when 14 lengths fourth of 9 in a handicap chase at Killarney (17f) last month but failed to back that up at Galway next time. Respectable effort back over hurdles on latest start but bit to find here from 3 lb out of the handicap.
Lisleigh Lad (IRE)
Confirmed himself an improved performer when winning 10-runner 19.5f handicap at Wexford in July by 3½ lengths from Nouvotic. Ran too badly to be true at Galway 20 days ago but even forgiving that run, he has plenty on from 3 lb out of the weights here.
Hermino Aa (FR)
Useful at best for Gary & Josh Moore and showed easily his best form since joining current connections when winning at Roscommon in June. Made little impact at Galway last time and races from 4 lb out of the handicap here.
West Away (IRE)
Confirmed promise of stable debut when winning 6-runner maiden chase at Wexford 2 weeks ago, jumping better than usual and beating Jackson Lamb by 4½ lengths. Has plenty to do from 8 lb out of the weights now reverting to a handicap, though.
