Timeform View

TINTINTIN has fallen a long way in the weights since his fourth in last year's Imperial Cup and could be worth a chance on return. Letterston Lily makes plenty of appeal, with Harry and Dream Diamond other notable dangers in a tricky handicap.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

County Champs traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Letterston Lily
Improved following a 17-month absence when sweeping to success at Perth (2½m) in April. Well backed when finding 2m too sharp in the Summer Hurdle subsequently. She goes well here and could resume winning ways back over a more suitable test.
Trouville (IRE)
Fairly useful stayer on Flat. Built on a considerate hurdling debut when readily landing a solid-looking C&D maiden and didn't dent his stock with subsequent fourth under a penalty at Uttoxeter (2m) latest. Handicapper hasn't missed him but longer trip certainly offers hope of improvement.
Tintintin (FR)
Fairly useful at his best. Mixed it in much better company than this when close fourth in the Imperial Cup at Sandown in spring 2025. Looked badly out of sorts when last seen over the winter but he's lurking on an attractive mark if revitalised by a 7-month break.
Dream Diamond (IRE)
Impressive all-the-way winner of a course novice on stable debut. Back in similar heart when close third to a fairly useful pair over C&D last month before doing too much at Market Rasen subsequently. Usual headgear again left off, but he's capable of running a big race returned to this course.
Norman Fletcher
Fallen long way in weights since latest success in November 2024. Chased home a convincing winner at Newton Abbot before finding 17f around Cartmel plenty sharp enough last time. Entitled to be more competitive here, provided his jumping again holds up with visor retained.
Harry (SWE)
Has proved most of his fairly useful ability remains, beating Jilajone (previously with David Pipe) to land a double in a Clairefontaine claimer (19f) in July. In a change of headgear for hat-trick bid and interesting for yard that has done well with several other French imports this summer.
Romany Brown (IRE)
Off the mark in Killarney maiden hurdle (17f) on final outing for previous connections last May. Hasn't reached anywhere near those heights since joining current yard, for all he did shape as though this longer trip would suit earlier in his career.
County Champs (IRE)
Maiden who placed in 4 of 5 starts in Irish handicaps (all around 3m) for Brian M. McMahon last year(subsequently sold for only £9,500). Has gone well fresh, though, and needs a close look in the market on first start for a capable yard, especially with Harry Cobden booked.
