Timeform View

CRIMSON ROAD has found his feet for new connections and, as he remains well treated from a 4 lb higher mark compared to his old peak, John & Rhys Flint's 5-y-o is taken to complete the hat-trick. It's Life went agonisingly close to recording back-to-back wins recently, so she's most feared sporting first-time cheekpieces. Bohemian Breeze can edge out Liberate for third.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Crimson Road traded at a high of 2.28 and Betfair SP of 2.20 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Liberate
Goodwood novice winner for James Horton last spring who was well backed and ran creditably on first outing since leaving Denis Hogan when second of 5 at Newmarket (1¼m, good to firm) 3 days ago. That was just a second placing from 14 starts, but she could build on that here.
Bownder (IRE)
Successful on all-weather at Lingfield over the winter. Knocking at the door this summer, making it 3 placings on the spin when second of 7 over C&D (good to firm) just under 7 weeks ago. Each-way claims once more.
Crimson Road (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise when exploiting his tumbling mark on fourth start for this yard at Chepstow last month and followed up in comfortable fashion back there (1¼m, good to firm) just over a fortnight ago. Sure to go well again in his hat-trick bid.
Bobacious
C&D winner a couple of years ago and produced his best form since joining current yard to take advantage of a sliding mark in 6-runner event at Epsom (1¼m, good to firm) last month. 2 lb nudge unlikely to prevent him from remaining competitive.
Star Mind
Returned to winning ways at Leopardstown in April but nowhere near that form back there the last twice, though she was left poorly placed earlier in the month. Cheekpieces reapplied.
Bohemian Breeze (IRE)
Dual C&D winner in June and performed with credit back up in trip and faced with a much deeper race when fourth of 5 at this course (1½m, good) earlier in the month. Back down in class and could well be in the shake up.
It's Life
Ended 2025 on a low-key note but caused a surprise after 10 months off when shedding her maiden tag at Salisbury (1m) last month. Improved further when going down narrowly over C&D just under 3 weeks ago and she's another to consider in first-time cheekpieces.
Twilight Guest
Recorded a hat-trick last season (including 2 C&D wins) but has struggled for form this year, admittedly not best positioned given the slow gallop at Yarmouth (11.5f, good) last month. Others more appealing.
