BLAKEFELL and Two Commanders both look very interesting. Ivan Furtado's charge is narrowly preferred, the form of his near miss at Kempton having subsequently been well advertised by the winner.

Made it fourth time lucky in 7f Newcastle novice lacking depth in late-June. Progress halted when checking out tamely over an extra furlong on handicap debut there subsequently. Does at least benefit from a slight ease in grade on return to 7f.
The Resdev Scholar (IRE)
Successful in a C&D seller prior to going on to complete a hat-trick at Doncaster (heavy) last autumn. Back to form when only 1½ lengths behind a handicap blot at Chester (soft) last time. May find a couple too good back under less testing conditions following 10 weeks off.
Two Commanders
Half-brother to a couple of useful winners. Off the mark at Catterick before improving to chase home a useful prospect at Leicester. Just caught out by his lack of experience when 1½ lengths third on return to Catterick (6f) latest. That's strong form, and he looks ready for this return to 7f.
Blakefell (IRE)
Forward-going type. Opened his account in a C&D maiden on return. Since finished a 1-length third in a strong handicap for the grade here (9f) prior to being narrowly foiled by a now-useful one at Kempton 7f last time. Has an excellent course record, and he's fancied to resume winning ways.
Velvet Rhythm
Back on the up to land a fourth win of the season at Catterick in July before a creditable third when bidding for a hat-trick in better company at Newbury. Reverted to sprinting when well beaten in a strong race for the grade at Glorious Goodwood latest. Handicapper may just have her measure now.
Siouxpersonic (IRE)
Matched her winning all-weather form when just failing on stable debut/return at Ripon. Behind a couple of subsequent winners at Hamilton and forgiven latest run in a stronger race at York in early-June. Hood replaces cheekpieces and isn't fully exposed back in 3-y-o company for first crack at 7f.
Beyond The Bar (IRE)
Back to winning ways when making all at Catterick (7f) in July. That form has taken a few knocks and no impact both starts since, for all he was closer than ideal to a strong pace at Beverley latest.
Yy Spirit (IRE)
Ended her time with Ed Bethell with a Newcastle novice win in December but hasn't fired in 3 starts for current yard.
Carmel Valley (IRE)
Lightly-raced filly. All the better for the switch to front-running tactics when placing in back-to-back handicaps at Ayr last month. Typically went with enthusiasm when failing to see out her race there (7f) last time and is likely to face competition for the lead up in grade.
Light The Night Up (IRE)
Consistent filly who lacks a change of gear. Drawn widest when beaten just over 4 lengths in a 1m Ayr handicap latest. Likely strong pace may help back over 7f, though she's probably vulnerable to upwardly mobile rivals in this grade.
