FRENCH DIABLO has taken his form up a notch since sent handicapping from a lowly mark and can follow up from last time. Brionywells should be all the better for the short break and is expected to be thereabouts again, while it would be no surprise to see Delgany Second Now prove a different proposition on handicap debut.

Bells Of Ufford (IRE)
Good second at Uttoxeter on return in June but failed to repeat that at Worcester the following month, however the form of the latter has been franked. The first-time visor replaces cheekpieces and he has to be taken seriously down in grade on first try over this longer trip.
Brionywells
Thriving this summer with back-to-back wins at Worcester and Uttoxeter in May and June. Shaped as if still in good form when fourth of 8 at Market Rasen under a penalty after her effort flattened out following a quick turnaround. Can bounce back after a 10-week break.
Captain Connor (FR)
Third in bumper on debut but has shown little in 5 outings over hurdles. Now significantly up in trip on first run for yard after leaving Mark Walford.
French Diablo (FR)
Stepped up markedly since sent handicapping, producing a best effort when winning a 6-runner race over C&D (good to firm, 2/1) by 5½ lengths from Babychino last month. A 4 lb rise in the weights looks fair and he's sure to be a major player again.
Delgany Second Now
Made little impact in a trio of maiden hurdles at Worcester. Could well do better now sent handicapping over further for top yard.
Kotgar (IRE)
17/2 and in first-time visor, creditable third of 7 in handicap hurdle at this course (19f, good to firm) last month, carrying head awkwardly. Has the headgear discarded but looks one to avoid.
Mc'flo
Headstrong sort who remains a maiden and looks opposable again.
Pink Walls
Poor maiden on Flat and has shown even less since switching to hurdles. Has the hood off here.
