Timeform View

LAZURITE had excuses at Goodwood in May so is well worth another chance having run to a high level for a newcomer at Newmarket earlier that month. Ambience has the profile to do much better so is selected for the forecast.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Lazurite traded at a low of 2.94 and Betfair SP of 3.35 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Ambience
850,000 gns foal, Frankel filly. Dam, 1m winner (including at 2 yrs), half-sister to high-class 7f/1m winner Beat The Bank. Wears tongue strap. Showed only greenness in Newmarket novice in May. Has since had a breathing operation and surely capable of better.
Cotai Jaunt (IRE)
Foaled April 7. €40,000 yearling, £15,000 2-y-o, Cotai Glory filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful winner up to 1¼m Royal Pleasure and 1m-1¼m winner Midnite Storm. Dam 1¼m winner. Likely to need this.
Cuban Promise
Foaled March 11. £62,000 yearling, Havana Grey filly. Dam, useful Italian 5f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs), half-sister to useful 2-y-o 9f winner Isfahani. Yard can ready one so market check advised on debut.
Dark Reign (IRE)
Well held in novices at Kempton and Newbury.
Lady Of Lucca (IRE)
Foaled March 31. 25,000 gns foal, Minzaal filly. Dam sprint maiden half-sister to smart 6f winner Projection out of smart winner up to 9f (2-y-o 7f/1m winner) Spotlight. Rare 2-y-o runner for yard and likely to be better for the experience.
Lazurite
Made a very promising debut when second in valuable novice at Newmarket in May, leading until late on. Got worked up beforehand and did too much too soon at Goodwood later in the month. Off since but this looks an excellent opportunity.
Thai Baht
Foaled January 31. Bangkok filly. Sister to 2-y-o 6f winner Rising Empire. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. From a good yard and worth a second look if the market speaks in her favour.
