Timeform View

Those with experience don't set the bar high so VEGASMILE is selected to make a winning debut for Karl Burke, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Gordons Girl is another newcomer from a good stable and is second choice ahead of Sweet Iris, who was second at York in July but has disappointed at Carlisle since.

Timeform Comments

Diplomacy
More one for nurseries based on his pair of 7f starts in recent weeks.
Threeoclockflyer
100/1, showed only greenness when always behind on 7f Ayr debut 7 weeks ago.
Vegasmile (IRE)
Foaled April 22. €45,000 Lucky Vega colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 1m-2m winner Fleetfoot and 1m winner Mashaaer, both useful. Likely type on paper for a top stable.
Coul Blue (IRE)
No promise both starts (beaten over 13 lengths when fourth of 5 on C&D debut).
Inns And Out (IRE)
Modest form, failing to improve for a switch to nursery company latest. Vulnerable to newcomers with potential.
Pigeon Pete
Foaled February 29. 10,000 gns Cracksman gelding. Dam 1¼m winner out of useful 1m winner Quesada. Stable not noted for juvenile success.
Sweet Iris (IRE)
Much improved from debut when second of 8 in 7f York novice last month, albeit no match for an easy winner. Disappointing last of 5 at Carlisle since but should have a part to play if back to the York form.
Basmaah (IRE)
80/1, tenth of 11 in maiden at Thirsk (5f, good) on debut 18 days ago. Significantly up in trip.
Gordons Girl
Foaled February 17. Cracksman filly and the first foal of a mare who ran twice (5f/6f) as a 2-y-o. In good hands and doesn't have a high standard to aim at on debut.
Wild Orchid
Comfortably held in Lingfield maidens over 6f (turf) and 7f (all-weather) in recent weeks. Early days but improvement will be needed.
