Timeform View

ROCKY'S HOWYA has been prolific in claiming hurdles this season and Declan Queally's veteran can add another to his collection at the expense of Oh So Charming, who ended a long losing run returned to a claimer at Sligo earlier in the month. Howdoyalikeherhome was fourth in that race, and he can edge out Eastern Wind for third.

Timeform Comments

Jackson Lamb (IRE)
Won C&D maiden hurdle and novice at Kelso last season. Hasn't cut much ice in 4 maiden chases and reverts to hurdling dropped into claiming company.
Tassarolo
Won twice over hurdles last season and in better heart than recent form figures suggest, latest when fifth of 9 at Tramore (1½m, good to soft) 11 days ago. Cheekpieces discarded for this return to hurdling and heads back up in trip.
Rich Belief
Won a claiming hurdle at Wexford in May but again looked less than straightforward when 5¼ lengths third of 8 to Oh So Charming in similar event at Sligo (2¼m, good) just under 3 weeks ago.
Allo Al Khawaneej
Kilbeggan maiden winner in 2025 who has been a bit hit and miss since but took a step back in the right direction when 2 lengths fourth of 15 in handicap at Ballinrobe in May. Tailed off in reapplied cheekpieces at Galway last month though and heads back up in trip.
Bryson (IRE)
Bits and pieces of promise in handicaps but ran a concerning race when tailed off in claiming hurdle at Sligo (2¼m, good) just under 3 weeks ago (found to have bled). Easy enough to look elsewhere.
Rocky's Howya (IRE)
Trailblazer who has been resurgent equipped with headgear, continuing his winning sequence in claiming hurdles with an 8-length success at Roscommon early last month. Easy to put a line through his latest handicap effort and fancied to make his mark back in a claimer.
Eastern Wind
Won at Tipperary last spring and rather in-and-out under both codes since, turning in best effort of the season returned to the Flat when second of 14 at Sligo (13.3f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. Chance if translating that back to hurdles.
Movie King (IRE)
Hit-and-miss performer over hurdles/fences. Never a danger on first outing since leaving A. J. Martin after 11 months off at Kilbeggan last month and can only be watched at present. Tongue tie reapplied.
Mephisto (IRE)
Completed a hat-trick over hurdles last August but has lost his way of late, including back over fences last time. Needs this drop to claiming company to spark a revival.
Howdoyalikeherhome (IRE)
Continues to operate some way below his best but was unsuited by the drop in trip when 6¼ lengths fourth of 8 to Oh So Charming in claiming hurdle at Sligo (2¼m, good) recently. One to consider back up in distance.
Long Gone (IRE)
Has shown little in 4 starts for current yard, latest in a first-time visor. Back up in trip and expected to fare better returned to claiming company (sports first-time blinkers here).
Malbas
No impact over hurdles/fences last 6 starts. Dropped into claiming company and first-time blinkers are applied.
Oh So Charming
Got the good gallop he requires and ended a long losing run returned to a claimer in 8-runner event at Sligo (2¼m, good) earlier in the month. Worth considering again.
Beacon Bypass (IRE)
Well held in 4 quick-fire runs in May and it was a similar story on return/handicap debut at Sligo last week (wore first-time cheekpieces/tongue tie).
