Timeform View

SYOSSET is knocking on the door for a first success, so he appeals as the most solid option with first-time cheekpieces added to his usual hood. Tropical Twist seemed to find the race coming too soon just 2 days on from her Wexford victory at Downpatrick and is worth another chance, with Cinnabar Moth tentative pick of the remainder.

Timeform Comments

Mc Swagger (IRE)
Typically proved too free sent handicapping when down the field in 15-runner event at Killarney (17f, good to soft) 41 days ago. First-time hood well worth a try.
Tropical Twist (IRE)
Showed much improved form when winning 14-runner 17f handicap at Wexford earlier in the month, suited by the strong pace. Presumably found the race coming too soon when not in the same form at Downpatrick 2 days later and worth another chance.
Premier Rogue (IRE)
Has yet to make any great impact in handicaps and needs to recapture his earlier form returning after a break if he's to have a say in proceedings.
Kome Dans Un Reve (FR)
Hasn't improved for the switch to handicaps, finishing last of 6 at Tramore (2m, good, 33/1) 13 days ago. Others more convincing.
Laurie Blue (IRE)
Unreliable type who followed a below-par effort with an even worse one in first-time cheekpieces at Cork last month. Questions to answer.
Syosset (IRE)
Steadily progressive 5-y-o who was unlucky to bump into a handicap blot in 16-runner event at Cork (17f) on penultimate outing and again ran well when third at Kilbeggan only 5 days later. Remains of interest in first-time cheekpieces.
Colin's Friend (IRE)
Just minor promise at best in maiden hurdles but likely capable of better having joined a top yard ahead of handicap debut.
Kashel Spring (IRE)
Disappointing in claiming company on the Flat of late and well held in 4 maiden hurdles.
Grennanstown Lady (IRE)
Hasn't shown much over hurdles/on the Flat to date.
Frontier Rose
Maiden who backed up previous effort when sixth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (2¼m, good) 20 days ago. Looks no more than averagely treated, though.
Centaq (IRE)
Has struggled for consistency of late and again ran below form when eighth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (2¼m, good) 43 days ago. Cheekpieces back on.
Cinnabar Moth (IRE)
Ran creditably when fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Tramore (2m, good) 12 days ago. Has each-way claims from a 1 lb lower mark.
Vairue (IRE)
Veteran who looks to retain little ability, finishing ninth of 14 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Tramore (17f, good) 10 days ago.
Lucky This Time (IRE)
Showed little in a handful of starts over hurdles in 2025. Fitted with a first-time tongue strap and cheekpieces on return from a year off.
Doyen Og (IRE)
Maiden who showed some ability remains when beaten less than 8 lengths at Wexford in July. Not quite in same form on both outings since, though.
Xquise (FR)
Showed little in half a dozen Flat starts for Miss Jennifer Anne Lynch in 2024 and was well held back over hurdles after 20 months off at Roscommon recently. RESERVE.
Sonna Lady (IRE)
Well beaten in a trio of maidens and fared no better switched to handicap company at Downpatrick last time. RESERVE.
