Timeform View

RIBENSKA's latest Southwell third is a strong piece of form so she gets the nod with cheekpieces added back from a short break. Her stablemate Ghisa has made a positive start to her handicap career and is second choice ahead of Bridget's View.

Timeform Comments

Paris Babe (FR)
Useful ex-French winner but has yet to get seriously competitive in 4 outings for her new yard.
Musical Angel
Signed off for Andrew Balding with 7f Epsom win last autumn. Hasn't hit those heights in 4 starts for current yard (beaten 5 lengths when third latest) and needs to recapture her best form.
Bridget's View
Dual all-weather winner, including C&D. Hooded first time, creditable 2 lengths fifth of 11 over C&D 14 days ago. First-time cheekpieces are also added now. Handicapped to be on the premises.
Star Mirage (USA)
Placed over C&D and in 2 outings on turf at Meydan towards the end of 2025. Failed to figure in 1m Glorious Goodwood handicap on reappearance but it was a tough starting point for her season. This should reveal more.
Shushu (IRE)
Night Of Thunder filly who confirmed promise of her Haydock debut second when going one place better in 11-runner Yarmouth maiden (7f) in June. Respectable fifth of 6 in 7f Carlisle handicap later that month. Given a short break ahead of this all-weather debut. Remains unexposed.
Merry
Zoustar filly who has shaped with promise all 5 starts, building on Wolverhampton handicap debut second when going one place better in a C&D maiden last Wednesday. Not obviously well treated under a 6 lb penalty back in a handicap, though.
Ribenska (IRE)
Lingfield maiden winner last year who has posted good placed efforts in 7f Southwell handicaps on 2 of her 3 outings this year, latterly third of 10 in a race which has worked out. Has first-time cheekpieces added back from 10 weeks off. Should have a race in her from this mark.
Afraj (IRE)
Iffraaj filly who made a winning start in 13-runner maiden on polytrack at Chelmsford (7f) last November. Hasn't built on that significantly in 3 turf outings this year, including 6 lengths fourth of 5 on 6f handicap debut latest, but perhaps a return to all-weather will help.
Ghisa (IRE)
Won first 2 starts on all-weather for Ollie Pears last autumn. In good form for current stable, again not getting the rub of the green when third of 9 in 7f handicap at Wolverhampton three weeks ago. A player eased 2 lb here.
Sahana
All-weather winner at Lingfield last September. Reappeared with good second over C&D in May but 2 poor runs have followed.
