BOLD SHOUT made it third time lucky when bolting up at Salisbury a fortnight ago and with better to come now handicapping, Clive Cox's charge gets the verdict to follow up. Lion of Mali deserves plenty of credit for consistency, so he can give the selection most to think about, with Show Me Gold rounding off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Brisk Symphony (IRE)
Dual 6f scorer last season (including here). Returned with good runner-up efforts at Yarmouth and Lingfield and bounced back to form after a brace of lesser efforts on turf when fourth of 7 at Lingfield (7f) just over a fortnight ago. First-time cheekpieces go on.
Artanis
Had some reasonable turf form last summer and landed the odds in a novice at Wolverhampton on return in February. Failed to improve switched to a handicap when fifth at Southwell the following month and has switched yards (45,000 gns) ahead of this reappearance.
Cool Molly (IRE)
Registered her fourth all-weather success at Southwell (7f) in April. Dropped markedly in grade but could only run to a similar level as recent outings when third of 8 in handicap at Chester (7.6f, good to firm) last month. More needed.
Lion Of Mali
Has improved markedly following a gelding operation, winning 4 7f handicaps this year, the latest at Sandown in June. Has found just one too strong on the July course at Newmarket the last twice and no reason why he won't be in the mix again.
Bold Shout (IRE)
Built on debut promise at the second attempt (had a breathing operation) when winning 7-runner novice at Salisbury (6f, good) a fortnight ago, soon clear having quickened to lead over 1f out. Better to come now handicapping so fancied to go very close.
Show Me Gold
Opened her account on handicap debut at Kempton in June and took her form up a notch on just her second turf start when second of 7 in handicap at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) just under 3 weeks ago, headed post having led inside final 1f. Chance if backing that up with Murphy booked.
