Timeform View

SHEREKIYA and Avec Grand Plaisir should both be getting their head in front sooner rather than later, with Dermot Weld's well-bred filly narrowly preferred on this occasion. Longseoir and Trumph also need considering in a competitive handicap.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Avec Grand Plaisir traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 4 of its last 5 starts: Trumph traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Loingseoir (IRE)
Hold-up type who was unlucky not to finish closer when 2 lengths third of 17 in handicap at the Galway Festival (8.5f). Still looks feasibly treated on best form and should benefit from a good pace to aim at here.
Comfort Line (IRE)
Consistent veteran who overcame trouble in running to land a 13-runner handicap at the Curragh (1m) last time. A couple of today's rivals were breathing down his neck on that occasion, though, and he's 3 lb higher here.
Mythical Rock (IRE)
Belatedly off the mark at Dundalk in January. Now 4 lb higher than when going close in similar company at Killarney last month. However, did confirm he's still in good heart when 1¼ lengths second in Gowran claimer last time.
Trumph (IRE)
Isn't anything flashy on paper. Sent off at 150/1 and showed more when 3¾ lengths sixth of 11 on qualifying run at Cork (10.5f). Drop back to 1m no harm on that evidence and could do better now sent handicapping by good yard.
Sherekiya (IRE)
Lightly-raced 3-y-o filly hails from a quality Aga Khan family. Looks to be getting the hang of things now, stepping forward from her handicap debut/reappearance when neck third behind Comfort Line at the Curragh (1m). Her turn likely to come sooner rather than later.
Avec Grand Plaisir (FR)
€110,000 son of St Mark's Basilica who's related to some useful types. Got back on the up when narrowly failing to reel in Comfort Line at the Curragh (1m). Navan's stiff finish should play to his strengths, and this low-mileage 3-y-o has to be high on the shortlist.
Cosmic Funk (IRE)
Best effort for Ger Lyons came when runner-up on handicap bow at Leopardstown (1m, soft) in June. Wasn't far off that form despite not being seen to best effect (in first-time cheekpieces) on stable debut at Galway latest. Bit more needed taking on his elders for first time in handicap, though.
Sheamus Seimhiu (IRE)
Maiden who offered little in handicaps last summer/autumn. Plenty to prove returning from 10 months off.
Ella's Gold (IRE)
Forward-going type. Placed in 4 of 5 handicap starts prior to a below-par effort in first-time cheekpieces (retained) behind Comfort Line. Hard to be confident she can reverse form with the principals from that race.
Think About It (IRE)
Yet to fire in 5 starts for current yard. Only beat one home in 14-runner Sligo handicap (13.5f) on return from 12 weeks off latest. Marked drop back in trip isn't guaranteed to suit, either.
Kingcharles (FR)
Half-brother to useful 7f-1½m winner Kergrist. Looked to have been brought along quietly in maidens prior to a forgivable handicap debut at Gowran (7f). Still early days and isn't one to write off just yet.
The Holy Apostle (IRE)
Fallen long way in the weights since placing on nursery debut at Killarney this time last year. Blinkers back on for the first time since, and he's worth a look despite again failing to fire at Leopardstown last time.
Borora Aura (IRE)
Maiden who has hit the frame in a couple of events. Looked no more than averagely treated when beaten just over 3 lengths at Cork last time and races from out of the handicap here.
Hale Bopp (IRE)
One of his better efforts of the year when 1¾ lengths third on stable debut at Bellewstown on Tuesday. Likely to extend losing streak from long way out of the weights, though.
