JACK THE SAVAGE has been freshened up ahead of this and may well make it 3 wins from his previous 5 starts. My Girl Katie seeks a first hurdle win and could be dangerous off the same mark as when successful over fences here last week, while 2-time course winner Final Entry is another likely player.

Timeform Comments

Final Entry (IRE)
Doubled his career/course tally when a narrow C&D winner in first-time visor in June. Still looked in form when 4¾ lengths fourth off this mark at Worcester subsequently. Has to be on the shortlist in a thin race for the grade.
Jack The Savage
Went a long time between drinks prior to making it 2 wins from 3 under a strong Sean Bowen drive at Fontwell in June, both those successes coming off short breaks. Gave it a good go when only beaten 4 lengths at Market Rasen subsequently. Makes appeal returning from 7 weeks off.
My Girl Katie (IRE)
Remains a maiden over hurdles but has won 4 of her previous 6 starts over fences, latterly completing a course double in smooth style on second start back from a break here 5 days ago. Reverts to hurdling off an unchanged mark and has been found a winnable-looking race for her hat-trick bid.
Touchwoodexpress (IRE)
Forward-going type who was well backed when successful over C&D on return last September. Below form 4 starts since, not helped by his jumping when well held at Worcester in-early July. Isn't one for maximum faith (has bled) returning from 8-week break in more severe headgear.
Alberts Bay (IRE)
Clearly hasn't been the easiest to train. Fared little better for the switch to a handicap here (18.5f) in late-May. Plenty to prove upped markedly in trip on second start for present yard.
Man Oh Man (IRE)
Finished ahead of a couple of next-time-out winners when going close to breaking his duck at this course (2¼m) in late-June. Has previously shaped as though this sort of trip may suit, though he was again below form when well beaten in first-time blinkers here (2¼m) on Saturday.
Blue Siam (IRE)
Without a win in 19 starts across both codes (stays 1¾m on Flat). Hasn't kicked on from her third on handicap hurdle debut at Stratford in late-May, beaten by more than lack of stamina when well held at Worcester (2½m) latest. Hard to be confident tried over significantly further only 4 days on.
