A competitive handicap can go the way of the class-dropping DRYMEE who should get a stronger pace here. Thursday Girl has an eye-catching jockey booking but may have to settle for second again, with handicap debutant Dovecote seeing out the places.

Timeform Comments

Hungarian (IRE)
Back in blinkers and showed improved form to get off the mark on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (7f) by neck from Bone Marra in July. Up 2 lb for that success and can go well again.
Home Hero (IRE)
Visored and much improved to get off the mark over C&D a month ago. Not seen to best effect next time but quickly back on the up when winning at Haydock (1m, good to firm) earlier this month. Not disgraced in a far more competitive race at Newbury on Wednesday.
Magic Trip
Fairly useful gelding. Returned with a good third in Kempton novice in April. Hasn't gone on since handicapping and looks best watched back down in trip on first start in just over 2 months.
Thursday Girl
Took advantage of a good opportunity to break her run of seconds and get off the mark in 5-runner maiden at Nottingham last month, doing so in workmanlike fashion in a muddling affair. Again found only one too good in 6-runner handicap at this course (7f, good) 22 days ago. Should be thereabouts.
Drymee
Improving sort and versatile ground wise, winning maiden at Lingfield on heavy before following up on handicap bow at Newbury (firm). Shaped as if needing stronger gallop when ¾-length third of 6 to Man of Vision at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) 20 days ago. Shortlist material down in grade.
Dovecote
Has taken a big step forward this season when runner-up both starts, latest in maiden at Southwell (7f) in July. One to note now making handicap debut.
Tamzan
Has had a good year, backing up her fourth in a strong Newmarket handicap in May when getting off the mark in a Beverley maiden the following month. Back to winning ways with a career-best effort in 5-runner handicap at Leicester (1m, good to firm) 19 days ago but has even more to find here.
Glen Nevis
Improved when neck second of 7 to Venetian Lion at Newmarket (1m, good, 9/4) last week despite looking ungainly. The cheekpieces are now reached for and he can't be ruled out.
