Timeform View

Making her stable debut, RUBY'S PROFIT went with promise when third at Epsom a fortnight ago and she could be ready to take advantage of her reduced mark back at 5f. She can gain a second C&D success at the main expense of handicap debutant Velvet Goldmine, while Silver Wraith has dropped below her last winning mark.

Timeform Comments

Ruby's Profit (IRE)
Won twice over 5f last spring, over this C&D on second occasion. Having dropped in the weights this season, shaped encouragingly on first run since leaving Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole when third at Epsom (6f) 2 weeks ago. Can make a bold back down in trip.
Grandlad (IRE)
C&D winner who made all at Nottingham in April on return. However, ran one of lesser races when sixth of 7 at the same track 17 days ago. Blinkers now added.
Rogue Bullet (IRE)
Commanding winner at Brighton in June on stable debut but hasn't kicked on in 3 subsequent outings, no match for the winner when second of 7 at Chepstow 22 days ago. It still remains early days for current yard, though.
Brave Nation (IRE)
Without a win for Michael Bell in 2025, but after an encouraging first run for this yard he got his head back in front at Newmarket 20 days ago. Remains well treated on old form if able to build on latest effort.
Silver Wraith
Made it back-to-back wins at Bath (5.7f) when successful on return. Ran well when second at Newbury (6f) last month, before possibly finding the race coming too soon at this course 6 days later. Interesting given more time ahead of this race (runner-up twice here last year).
Over Spiced
Scored at Bath in May and has made the frame 4 times this summer, including when close second at Chester in July. Below form on the all-weather at Lingfield 8 days ago, though did get caught wide. More needed here.
Kiss And Run
On a long losing run but was runner-up at Windsor in May. However, has been below form at the same course last 3 starts, fifth of 9 on latest outing 11 days ago.
Sandscreendeliverd
Gained breakthrough success on the turf at Lingfield (5f) last summer. Runner-up twice earlier this year, including over this C&D, and placed twice back at Lingfield last month, but shaped as if possibly amiss when well held at Epsom (6f) 2 weeks ago. Blinkers applied.
Velvet Goldmine (IRE)
Showed more than on debut when third of 6 at Newbury (6f) in June on return. Headed on the post in novice at Bath (5.7f) next time, despite having pulled hard, so she remains capable of better dropped in trip with hood fitted for handicap bow.
