Timeform View

FINE POINT has largely been in excellent heart since joining Adam Nicol and can register a second win for the yard in a competitive affair. The hat-tricking seeking Saint Polo also ticks plenty of boxes, with Machete Beach also making appeal after going close at Uttoxeter.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Saint Polo has traded at more than 2 times Betfair SP twice when winning during its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Machete Beach
Fairly useful Flat performer who made a winning return from a year off in a Hereford maiden in May before defying a penalty at Stratford. Ran too badly to be true on handicap debut but much more like it when only just failing to reel in the winner in a 6-runner handicap at Uttoxeter (2m) last month.
Glory And Honour (IRE)
Veteran who returned to winning ways in reapplied blinkers in 6-runner handicap hurdle at Hexham (2m) in June. Not disgraced back over fences there 2 weeks later and shaped as if still in reasonable form when mid-field at Market Rasen last time. Partnered by jockey having third ride over jumps.
Saint Polo (FR)
Readily opened his account under a positive ride at Stratford (19f) in June. Escaped a penalty for that success and followed up with a bit in hand when winning a 7-runner handicap hurdle (13/8) at Newton Abbot (17f, good) the following week. Can go well again after 7-lb rise.
Jolie Coeur Allen (FR)
Free-going front runner who got off the mark over C&D last October. Stepped up on her comeback run when second of 4 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (17f, good to firm) 41 days ago and still appeals as being feasibly treated.
Scots Poet
Hold-up sort who is enjoying a fine time of things, winning on 3 of his previous 5 completed starts and finding only one too good in an 8-runner event at Cartmel last month on his most recent outing. Up another 1 lb but can give another good account.
Fine Point (IRE)
Well-backed winner of a 2m Hexham handicap on only his third start for present yard in May. Ran creditably over a longer trip when third there next time and though he unseated rider early at Market Rasen 2 weeks ago, he's still low mileage for this yard and can get back on the up.
