PASSING DIAMOND looked a natural when accounting for a subsequent winner from 4 lb out of the weights on his chasing debut over C&D last month and is capable of following up on that evidence. Palamon has been considerately handled on both comeback runs this summer and needs keeping a close eye on in the betting, especially with Harry Skelton now back in the saddle.

Bounced back to form on second start for current yard when making all in 2½m mares handicap at Musselburgh in November. Solid efforts in defeat next 2 outings but isn't bred to excel as a chaser and hasn't made the most convincing of starts in this sphere, albeit possibly amiss over C&D latest.
Palamon (IRE)
Successful at Bangor (2½m) in March. Excuses in messy race at Sandown in April and not given a hard time on both comeback runs this summer, latterly in 23f handicap at Worcester. Back down markedly in trip with Skelton back in the saddle for the first time this season.
Passing Diamond (IRE)
Scored twice over hurdles at Hexham at the start of the season and found the switch to chasing prompting even further improvement when landing small-field handicap from 4 lb out of the weights over C&D last month. Runner-up successful since and looks capable of following up.
Lermoos Legend
Dual course winner who left the impression he should have finished closer still when third of 6 in handicap chase at this course (21f, good) 42 days ago. Not taken lightly with Sean Bowen back in the saddle.
Tanking Along (IRE)
Enthusiastic front runner who found only one too good on both starts in May, latterly in 6-runner handicap chase at Perth (2½m, soft), collared on the run-in having typically blazed the trail. Goes well fresh but long run-in not sure to suit.
