Timeform View

FLIGHT TRACKER has a fine pedigree and shaped promisingly on debut when only narrowly denied at Sandown early in the month. He would be fancied to go one better if taking up this engagement, while Mister Whippy can go well after his improved effort last time. Somerton is another one to note on the back of his first run.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Flight Tracker traded at a low of 1.94 and Betfair SP of 2.56 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Bundaberg (IRE)
Bred to need time and distance, shaped in kind when tenth of 13 in maiden at this course (7f) on debut early this month. Looks one for the longer term.
Flight Tracker
Produced a promising first effort when close second in 4-runner maiden at Sandown 24 days ago, only bettered by another well-related newcomer. Holds a Group 2 entry and would hold leading claims if lining up here. Engaged 5.45 Chepstow Saturday.
George Cross (FR)
Shaped encouragingly first time up when second in 7-runner novice at Ffos Las (7.5f), keeping on to fare best of the rest behind the favourite. Open to improvement with this extra distance promising to be in his favour.
Mister Whippy (USA)
Showed the benefit of his first outing when second of 13 in novice at Newbury (7f) 15 days ago, beaten only by one who showed much improved form. Can make another bold bid with this longer trip likely to suit based on dam's side of pedigree.
New Oxford (IRE)
Showed inexperience on debut but was getting the hang of things late on when fourth of 9 in maiden at Sandown (7f) 5 weeks ago, nearest at the finish (¾ length behind Somerton in third). Entitled to progress up in trip.
Odell (IRE)
Foaled February 28. €80,000 foal, Sea The Moon colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 6f winner (including at 2 yrs) Invictus Gold and useful 2-y-o 6f winner Nurse Barbara. Has a fairly useful standard to aim at on debut.
Rossbeigh (IRE)
Foaled March 24. €30,000 yearling, 50,000 gns 2-y-o, Sioux Nation gelding. Dam, Italian 5f-7f winner (up to 7 yrs), half-sister to smart winner up to 6f Black Mambazo. Rare 2-y-o runner for yard nowadays.
See The Mountain
Very green on debut but was much sharper in 4-runner maiden at Sandown 24 days ago, failing to beat a rival but beaten only 2¼ lengths (Flight Tracker ahead in second). Further progress required in this contest.
Somerton (IRE)
Stoutly bred but still proved the most clued up of the newcomers when third of 9 in maiden at Sandown (7f) last month. Merits consideration as he goes up in distance.
