SPOOKY WOOKY stepped forward from his return when fourth at Redcar earlier in the month and the step back up to 2m should see him in an even better light. Time Turner and Elemental Eye arrive in good form and also merit consideration.

Timeform Comments

Elemental Eye
Capitalised on a falling mark decisively in first-time blinkers at Newcastle in June and ran at least as well from a 6 lb higher mark when second of 8 in handicap at Ayr (13f, good to firm) the following week. Yet to really convince on his most recent outings at this trip, though.
Marbuzet
Reliable and consistent in 2025 but hasn't beaten a rival across 3 outings this season.
Time Turner
Continues to do himself no favours at the start but confirmed himself as back in form when third of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (16.3f) 30 days ago. Slow starts remain a concern but he's a player in first-time blinkers.
Pfingstberg (GER)
Better than ever when digging deep to win a 6-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (2m) when last seen in October 2024. Has since left David Simcock and market will likely prove best guide after almost 2 years off.
Shopaholic
Much improved upped significantly in trip for her handicap debut when a clear second in an 11-runner event at Wolverhampton (1¾m) last month and ran to a similar level when third of 7 (15/2) at Lingfield (13f, all-weather) 3 weeks ago. Worth a try over this trip under a good-value claimer.
Spooky Wooky (IRE)
Fair maiden at 3yrs, placed twice in handicaps around this trip. Stepped up on his return when fourth of 9 in handicap at Redcar (1¾m, good to firm, 20/1) 22 days ago and he's interest returning to 2m from this mark.
Punxsutawney Phil (IRE)
As good as ever when last seen finishing second in a competitive Musselburgh handicap hurdle (3m) last spring but hasn't shown much on the level for a while. Probably only of note if that market speaks in his favour.
Jedhi Knight
Ffos Las winner (2m) last summer for Jedd O'Keeffe. In the frame on 3 of 4 starts on Flat for current yard, albeit beaten 16 lengths into fourth in a 12-runner handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 10 days ago. Back up in trip
