RULER'S CONTROL will need to settle better than he did in Group 2 company at Goodwood 5 weeks ago but a repeat of his Windsor Castle fourth gives him sound claims down in class and he's selected to capitalise. South Dakota shaped better than the distance beaten suggests in the Ballyhane Stakes and is feared along with Full Volume and Joga Bonito.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Ruler's Control traded at a low of 18.00 and Betfair SP of 26.00 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

South Dakota (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica colt who has been quick to reach a useful level, shaping better than distance beaten suggests (first home in group) when third in Ballyhane Stakes at Naas (6f) 4 weeks ago. Expected to be firmly in the mix again.
Full Volume (FR)
Much improved from debut when readily landing a 9-runner Bellewstown maiden (1m) in July. Stepped forward again when second in a Killarney minor event (1m) later that month prior to reportedly losing his action at Gowran 24 days ago. Type to bounce back.
Joga Bonito
Proved expensive to follow initially but reaped the rewards of a gelding operation/first-time cheekpieces when readily off the mark in a Galway maiden (7f, soft) 4 weeks ago, making all. Represents very good stable and type to progress further now he's up and running.
Lars Soldier (IRE)
Landed 5f maiden at the Curragh in April and bounced back to form when second of 8 in minor event at Cork (5f) in July. Shaped like a non-stayer when fifth over 7.5f here 2 weeks ago, though, and he has work to do on these terms.
Ruler's Control (IRE)
Knew his job when winning 7-runner maiden at the Curragh (5f, heavy) on debut in March, his sole outing for Jack Foley, and ran a cracker when fourth in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot (6f) 3 months later. Too free in Vintage Stakes at Goodwood latest but worth another chance back down in grade.
Cudawudashuda (IRE)
Space Traveller colt who was very green when sixth of 9 in maiden at Bellewstown (1m, good) on debut last month, merely passing beaten horses. Should improve for very good yard but this looks a tall ask second time up.
Panhandle (IRE)
Nando Parrado gelding who has finished well held in maidens at Navan/Naas in recent months.
The Long Haul (IRE)
Inns of Court gelding who has shaped with little encouragement in 2 maidens to date.
Wunderschon (GER)
Sea The Moon filly. Sister to smart German winner up to 11f Wonderful Moon. Showed ability at long odds when seventh of 12 in a Galway maiden (7f) 5 weeks ago, running on without landing a blow. Longer trips will see her to much better effect moving forward.
