BULLET BOURBON will handle the ground and is taken to resume winning ways back over 7f. La Campanella and Angel of Promise head the dangers in a wide-open handicap.

Timeform Comments

Givehertilxmas (IRE)
Made an encouraging return from a break when close third of 15 in C&D handicap in late June. Cheekpieces on first time and looks a player with Colin Keane back in the saddle.
Phoenix Pairc (IRE)
Hasn't kicked on from her win in a maiden at Dundalk in 2025. Did at least finish closer than previously in a handicap when 3½ lengths seventh of 14 at Leopardstown (7f) last time.
Angel Of Promise (IRE)
Promising sixth in big-field Curragh maiden (6f) on her second start. Produced her best effort in handicaps when 2¼ lengths fifth at Dundalk (1m) latest. Interesting if building on that in a change of headgear, though the draw hasn't been kind.
Shamanka (IRE)
Returned to form when beaten just over 1½ lengths on return to this trip at Leopardstown last time, finishing ahead of a couple of reopposing rivals. Probably needs more to get off the mark, though.
Brains (IRE)
C&D winner who has fallen to a handy mark following a lengthy losing streak. Wasn't disgraced when 3½ lengths sixth of 14 at Leopardstown (7f, good to firm) latest and good-value claimer back aboard.
Cisterna (IRE)
Improved effort when comfortably winning a 3-y-o handicap over C&D in May. Remained in good form prior to his latest effort at Galway (1m). Will need a career best taking on his elders for the first time, though the forecast rain is unlikely to inconvenience him.
James Henry (IRE)
Yet to win on turf and hasn't gone on from his reappearance third at Listowel in late May.
Glen Breeze (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise without looking the easiest ride when winning 14-runner handicap at Limerick (7f, good to firm) last month. Ran one of this season's lesser races when beaten 6 lengths at Sligo (6f, good to soft) subsequently, though.
Whatswrongnow (IRE)
Ground-versatile maiden. Placed for the sixth time this year when 3¾ lengths second (attracted support) in a big-field Naas sprint (5f) 8 days ago. Now makes a rare start over 7f, and his record (0-35) speaks for itself.
Oitentinha (IRE)
Lightly-raced filly who did plenty wrong up in trip at Limerick (1m, heavy) last time. Return to 7f ought to suit on that evidence, however, she'll need to settle better to make more impact following a 10-week break.
Queen Of Newark (IRE)
Showed first form when third in a C&D maiden claimer last month. Subsequent efforts in handicaps (latterly over C&D in late June) leave plenty to be desired.
Tamazu (IRE)
Off since extending a long losing run at Laytown (6f) last September. His sole previous win (5f Tipperary maiden) did come on the back of an absence, though, and at least warrants a market check with Seamie Heffernan booked.
Sunday Sovereign
On a long losing run but did finish third over C&D twice last year (latterly on soft). Didn't offer much back sprinting on reappearance at Fairyhouse in early June. Cannot be totally discounted back up in trip with hood refitted.
La Campanella (IRE)
Relatively lightly-raced 4-y-o who has been running creditably in handicaps. Fourth in a solid event at Fairyhouse last month and filled the same position when beaten 3 lengths (met some trouble) at Bellewstown (1m) latest. Drop in trip/addition of more severe headgear looks an interesting angle.
Bullet Bourbon (IRE)
Produced a career best to get off the mark at Dundalk (7f) last month. Easily forgiven her subsequent effort over 1m there (drawn wide/unproven at trip). Best effort on turf to date came in testing ground, and she looks one of the more likely winners here.
Gordon Bennett (IRE)
Hold-up type. Did well to finish 6 lengths seventh of 19 over the minimum trip at Naas second time up this season. Worth a go in first-time blinkers but needs plenty to fall right to end long losing sequence on rare start over 7f. RESERVE
Draiocht (IRE)
Got off the mark at Gowran (1m, soft) last October. Probably in form but didn't knuckle down when beaten 4¾ lengths at Bellewstown (1m, good to soft) 6 days ago. Cannot be ruled out given forecast rain. RESERVE
Distillate
Lost her way since a close second in this grade at Dundalk in February. Hit the frame in better company than this on turf last season, though, and isn't taken lightly if all is well following a tumble on return 6 days ago. RESERVE
